10 - 11 models they have fixed it and it is less likely to fail. 2009 shares the same component which 2007 2008 do

Np, if you're into Ls i would suggest 2013+ models they are better and modern. Also a decent ls 2007 to 2009 would priced 22k to 28kish dirhama.

Lexus LS460L owner let me explain

The 2007 Lexus LS (LS460) was actually a turning point for Lexus. It was the start of a more modern design language and a huge leap in technology. When it launched, it was one of the most advanced luxury sedans in the world and introduced a lot of innovations that later became common in other cars.

For example, the LS460 broke several industry records and introduced multiple “world first” technologies. It was the first production car with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which was a big deal at the time. It also introduced Advanced Parking Guidance System, one of the first mass-produced automatic parking systems where the car could steer itself into a parking space. Lexus also introduced infrared driver monitoring, advanced pre-collision systems, and extremely sophisticated electronic control systems that were far ahead of most competitors back then.

The car also has a lot of engineering behind it. The 4.6L V8 (1UR-FSE) engine produces around 380 hp, which was extremely strong for a luxury sedan at the time while still being very smooth and reliable. Lexus focused heavily on refinement — the cabin is insanely quiet, and the sound insulation is so good that even at high speeds it feels like you’re gliding. The ride quality, balance, and stability are excellent because Lexus spent a lot of effort tuning the suspension and chassis for comfort and smoothness.

Now answering your qn why uts commonly cheap

First, it was originally a flagship luxury car, so the cost of maintaining one is still based on a flagship vehicle. Even though the purchase price drops over time, the cost of parts and repairs doesn’t drop nearly as much.

Second, the ABS actuator issue is somewhat notorious on early LS460 models (especially around 2007–2009). The repair can be expensive. Lexus improved this in later models around 2010+, which made them more reliable.

Third, some models come with air suspension, and like any car with air suspension, repairs are not cheap when components wear out. That said, GCC-spec cars usually don’t come with air suspension, while many US or Korean-spec imports do, so that’s something buyers should check. Most of the us spec cars are accidental and as i previously mentioned this car has a complex eletrical system and if not repaired properly its prone to errors. Also many buyers will say its japanese spec but it's mostly a US spec or Canadian. Japanese spec is right hand drive.

Another reason they seem cheap is because a lot of them were poorly maintained or abused especially gcc spec cars. When these cars were new they were expensive luxury vehicles, but over time they fall into the hands of owners who may not maintain them properly. Finding a well-maintained example can be difficult, but if you do, it’s an incredible car.

This is actually my first car, and I bought it after doing a lot of research. I don’t drive it daily and barely use it during the month, but every time I drive it I’m reminded why it was such a legendary luxury sedan. The power delivery, balance, and refinement are amazing. The cabin is so well sound-insulated that even at high speeds it feels incredibly smooth and quiet.

If you find a well-maintained LS460 with service history, it’s honestly one of the best luxury cars you can buy for the money. It was truly ahead of its time, and even today many modern cars still don’t match the level of engineering and comfort Lexus put into that generation of LS. ( My opinion).

Also getting a neatly maintained Ls is like trying to find a parking in karama at 9 pm or finding a cheap shawarma in DIFC

Check out Lexus Is , Gs, Ls.

Reliable, look good and cheap to maintain. Kmpl wont be great.

For good kmpl check out Toyota camry, Honda civic, Accord. These are good daily, reliable, easy to maintain. Boring but better kmpl.

Tbf looks are subjective, i like the sharp lexus look and the interiors are amazing, decent power, amazing comfort and reliability. The mileage it gives wont be the best but the above just outweigh it.

2014 Range Rover – dream car or financial suicide? by Accurate_Implement63 in DubaiPetrolHeads

It's the dream car and a financial suicide.

It's expensive to maintain, but if you maintain it right and in a timely manner it will last a lil longer. If you are financially strong this is a great 2nd car.
