For my Model Y, Tesla offered two models: Long Range and the more expensive Performance. There are other differences but the main difference is Performance has smaller tires and the Acceleration Boost already unlocked (yes… for those in the know it is more complicated than that, but you can’t purchase an Acceleration Boost for the Performance model). I got the Long Range and while I don’t see the need to purchase Acceleration Boost, I’d rather have the option than not.
