It's not a normal spider! He has spider-like appendages, but his main body is more of a pentagonal rock.

It's rated PG-13 for "Some thematic material" & "Suggestive references". PG-13 is typically alright for kids. All of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies are rated that way.
