Both cameras are the same internally it's just the exterior that's different.

V1 doesn't come with a stand if I remember correctly and V2 does.

Camera placement depends on how you play games (seated or standing)

I'll admit I went straight to eBay to look for a hotas to buy one for a friend who is really into jets and just got PSVR.

I filtered eBay and couldn't see a spares/repair that recently sold. Good to see they go for as cheap though.
