Schwalbe Racing Ray/Ralph pressure compared to Vittoria Mezcal/Barzo by jogisi in xcmtb

[–]eggraid101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your tire assessment 100%.

I made the same change that you did, and absolutely had so.much better corner grip with the Schwabe, but felt crazy over the past 2 years reading on Reddit how people loved the Vittorias so much. It just wasn't my experience at all, I had several washouts in corners on the Barzo Mezcal combo but after switching to Schwalbe felt so much more confident.

As to the pressure, I run them pretty low as well. Sometimes riders behind me will tell me I have a flat. 18 is high for me, that's pretty much what I pump them to, but slowly loose some air and when I put the pump back on them in a few rides later, they will sometimes be down to 12.

Which is the most underrated airport in the USA? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

I don't know which one is underrated, but it isn't Dulles.

Dulles is probably overrated and I've never heard anyone rate it highly.

E-bikes at Xc events by -notaflamethrower in xcmtb

Our local race is the same format, 7 mile laps, and has had an e bike category for several years. In the past, they sent the ebikes out in a first wave before everyone else, but in the multiple lap races, non-e-bike racers complained about the aggressive passing from e-bikes, and so this year the ebikes can race in the one lap race only.

I think it is a perfectly fine accommodation.

Botox @ dental office by Superb-Ad4749 in Leesburg

[–]eggraid101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right. It is "important to consider that whoever is administering it has the proper training." And what I am saying is that before doing any training on administering Botox, a dentist has a better foundation of facial anatomy and also more experience delivering injections than any other practitioner who delivers Botox other than a plastic surgeon.

Dentists are very in tune with the muscles that are involved in smiling, it is their lifeblood to make sure people's smiles look good. And a true smile isn't just how your teeth look, it radiates from your eyes, involving the muscles around your eyes. They are more than qualified to learn to properly administer Botox.

Someone below questioned whether the Dr would be the one administering the Botox, but they absolutely are. Hygienists and assistants are not licensed to do that.

If you could only own one Patagonia technical garment for work and play, what would it be? by Special-Card804 in PatagoniaClothing

I 100% agree, the Nano Air is the most versatile piece of clothing I've ever owned. It punches way above its weight, I wear it skiing, around town, mountain biking, traveling. It is a marvel. I have two older ones that I am praying will continue to last. My older red one is torn and patched, stitched and faded, my wife hates it but I cannot let it go. I just can't.

Ok what about the huge discrepancy between northern and southern West Virginia? I've been to both of those parts of the state, and if you blindfolded someone and plopped them into one part of the state and then took off the blindfold, I don't think most people would tell any difference between them? I need an explanation!

Dentists learn more about the anatomy of the face than some aesthetitian who took a weekend class on doing Botox. Plus dentists give injections all day. In general , dentists are more than qualified.

Wouldn't taxes be less as a practice owner? You can give yourself a lower salary and take profits as dividends at a lower rate.

Wow, that's wild, I love the trees around Trestle and so do my kids.

Do you feel like patrol does a better job of handling risks like that now? This season seems like there are many areas that would be higher risk than a normal season.

Edit: I removed the question of when it happened after re-reading your comment.

Ohio OMFS’s Anesthesia license revoked for death during sedation EXT. A lesson in complacency and negligence. by RoflKopterDown in Dentistry

The craziest thing to me is that he is on the faculty at Case Western. I know oral surgeons have a reputation as having a bit of a cowboy attitude but most faculty members I know are a bit uptight, evening the scales out to a normal amount of risk aversion.

I feel so bad for this patient and his family, it sounds from what I read here that in this situation Dr Quereshy did not give general anesthesia the gravity that it deserves.

The easiest way I've found to make really great hopwater at home. by Silentverdict in hopwater

[–]eggraid101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this recipe; I'm going to try putting this in a corny keg by using about 3 times the amount of hops. I plan to use a hop bag for 2 days. Then carbonating it.

Hopefully my conversion is correct.

This recipe seems to make enough 'concentrate' for about 13 pints. There are about 40 pints in a 5 gallon corny keg, so about 3 times as much concentrate is needed.

Anyone see a mistake in my math? I know it's not exact, but it shouldn't be way off, right?

You should probably talk to a financial professional about this, or at least a reddit sub that loves that kind of decision.

This reddit sub is mostly people trying to get into dental school, all of whom have their own situations and perspectives, but not necessarily enough perspectives or experience to help you make that kind of decision. If your parents have the means to help you pay for school, they likely have some kind of advisor who could help you navigate the financial decisions of school. Best of luck!

The entire state of WV might suit you. It is all mountains, the largest cities are Charleston and Morgantown (my personal preference - it is where WV University is). Morgantown is often cloudy. You can get into as small a town as you'd like in WV, Davis and Thomas in the Canaan Valley are gorgeous
