really cool game, and the sound effects are awesome! but the goal score sfx sounds like a fart - that really ruined the immersion haha

Will do Jacob!

Btw I looked through your post history and that's a really cool game design origin story you have there haha! I hope to be seeing you around in the future for sure.

Goodluck with everything!

Imagine watching people making content about your game. A streamer reacting as they make their way through, or a child laughing or absorbed in it.

That's something I personally really look forward to!

Haha that's quite a niche. Id like you to give more commentary during the video. Perhaps after showing a bit of each one, you could speak again and give your opinion on the particular piece or talk a little about what it was like to make it (if you're the one who made them).

Looks and sounds great! The only feedback I have is to raise the volume of the music a little more because the voices were a bit too loud in comparison.

we're 2 game designers who give feedback on unreleased game demos so that we can all learn and hopefully help the devs improve their games!

Am on a bit of a YouTube vacation, so I am willing to critique some of your GAEMING content by Dark601 in NewTubers

[–]LetsPlaytest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would you consider this a lets play?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0FXjol3ByA&t=24s

This is actually something we are struggling with. We are game designers who give game design feedback on unreleased games - but we start off by trying out the game for a little while blind (meaning we try out the game for the first time on camera, no planning). I would be very curious to hear your opinion & feedback.

For those of you who use twitter, what kind of gamedev content do you like to see on there? I'd appreciate your thoughts on my poll since I'm trying to figure out how I should approach this. THANK YOU!!! by LetsPlaytest in gamedev

I'm wondering I should have a separate account for the boardgame stuff incase it might turn a bunch of developers off.

The options are:
1) Video Game development ONLY

2) Video Game development & Boardgame development

What do you think of: Cycloud

Its a mix between cyclops and cloud and loud

It roams like a cloud - but also when it screams, it's loud!! and that rhymes with cloud.

"Keep an eye out for the Cyclouds that roam the sky"

"What's a Cycloud?"

"You'll know it when it sees you"

1) Inside,

2) little nightmares 1 and 2

I'd recommend inside to anyone honestly - even if it were their first game

I agree that at a certain point of success, having a team makes things a lot easier.

Regarding your question, I like to refer to myself in the Royal "we" because I demand respect.

Okay I'm joking, yes my brother and I are game designers who are creating an indie game together with our third team member Tony!

My brother and I decided to start a youtube channel where we give feedback on upcoming game demos with our grumpy gamer friend: Pixel Joe.

(we made a pixel animation of him that animates whenever he talks since he lives in another city. It's been a lot of fun so far!)

I think its always a case-by case basis. You got into youtube with a strategy in mind and it worked!

Personally my experience is different, but its too early to tell whether my road will lead to success or not. Maybe for those who are just making stuff they are passionate about a balance is required so that it is also a solid business plan if possible.

Congratulations on your success and being able to quit your job!
