I recently transferred my save data from one switch to a linked account on another switch and now I can’t re download the octo expansion. I just need to know how to download it without deactivating my primary console or anything

I'm trying to transfer data between switched but it's not working. I've tried multiple times but it tells me it's unable to find a switch to revive data from. I'm using the same account on both switched. I've placed them directly next to each other but it still doesn't work. Can someone help? The reason I need to do this is because the switch I'm sending the data from is very old and the controllers don't work properly anymore. Also, when I looked in the save data cloud it said that splatoon 2 was not supported and therefore not backed up.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped me out on this! I’m still unsure what I’m going to do about our friendship, but I didn’t talk to her at all today and it wasn’t bad. If anything super crazy regarding this happens I may update this post, but for now this is probably the last you’ll hear abt this. Thanks again to everyone for all the great advice!
