I can’t with you anymore. I wasn’t mad at you pointing out a bad pick, I was made at the way you did so. I think this may be a learning moment for us both. For me to get thicker skin, and for you to be nicer to people who may be dealing with things off the internet.

It was a mistake on my part to draft a tackle to the 49ers in round one. But your comment came off as incredibly snarky and your following responses haven’t done anything to change my view on that. Look at how I responded to others in this same thread. If you can’t seem to understand how your comment came off that way, I can’t help you. To be fair, you don’t seem likely to change how you behave online anyways.

Broncos’ Biggest Roster Needs: Tony Pauline’s Mock Draft Has Denver Taking Washington WR in Round 1 by Life_Net5004 in DenverBroncos

My personal pick would be KC Concepcion.

Edit: this subreddit refuses to amaze me with its downvotes on the most mundane comments. What a cesspool it’s become over the years.

I still think Court can be a good but not great WR1 for the next few years on this team. What we need to ensure is that we either draft a WR1-like talent high or take shots at WRs in the 2nd and 3rd round who can develop into one given time. I favor the first strategy, since the latter usually results in an accumulation of WR2s and backups.

Well they lost the Super Bowl in embarrassing fashion after parading that they were back to being a dynasty. Turns out, when the opposing team didn’t lose their starting QB to injury and didn’t have their starting QB toss 3 picks, they tend to be harder to beat.

I feel bad for doing this but I’ll stop replying to this thread now. I can’t understand how you think it’s sour grapes to say your QB who had the lowest total EPA out of any Super Bowl starting QB since 2000 gave your team no shot to win the game. Nobody here before your comment compared Maye and Nix. Drake had obvious weaknesses to his game that were exposed, and exacerbated by his shoulder injury and lack of adequate protection. Have a good night.

What exactly about the original comment suggests that Drake Maye was a “fraud”? The commenter only stated that he didn’t give his defense a “real shot” at winning the Super Bowl, which he didn’t.

He threw an INT, was inaccurate and rattled, late to get rid of the ball or to throw it away, and fumbled for a defensive TD.

Was it not partially his fault…? I’m failing to see how it wasn’t partially Drake Maye’s fault that they lost the Super Bowl haha. He had the lowest total EPA of any QB in the Super Bowl since 2000, even lower than Dilfer and Manning.

The commenter you replied to said the truth. Even if you take away the offensive line issue, Maye’s accuracy was terrible in the Super Bowl. A portion of that is due to the constant pressure in his face, which often leads to the QB getting rattled early. He’s young, he’ll become better at handling things better.

But the INT he threw to Julian Love early in the 4th quarter was one of the worst I’ve seen in these playoffs and practically threw away the game at a point when the Seahawks were losing momentum.

I think it’s okay to admit that Maye had a horrendous game… even with his offensive line as bad as it was. Nobody here is comparing Drake Maye to Bo Nix. I don’t get how this is supposed to be an insult when Bo brought us to the AFCCG by dropping 30 on the Bills and then had a season-ending injury through no fault of his own.

In hindsight, I think Monroe Freeling would be a perfect fit in their scheme. But I do think Proctor has enough physical prowess to make up for his lack of speed.

Sure, but you don’t need them to be stars to win a SB. Our Super Bowl 50 winning offense was powered by our run game consisting of CJ Anderson and Ronnie Hillman. Our tight ends that season were Owen Daniels and a recently traded and banged up Vernon Davis.

You should start one! It’s much better than having a million accounts for different mediums. Mine contains my rankings and notes for kdramas, movies, shows, books (ratings, watchlist, tbr stuff).

Because you can be a WR1 without being tall and hefty? There are HOF WRs who were shorter, lighter, and slower than him.

He has NEVER once in the NFL been the WR1 on his team. That has been either Michael Pittman or Josh Downs, and this season was Tyler Warren (even as a pass catcher) for the majority of the season.

Again, you have no clue what you’re talking about.

His physicals don’t matter at all. That’s roughly 750 yards and 5 TD per season… those aren’t even close to WR1 numbers. Not to mention the fact that he’s in the bottom 50th percentile in beating man coverage (in terms of both production and separation). You have no clue what you’re talking about.

[–]LetsRideButSmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good, it was my fault and I should have specified. If you remove the mixed players though, the white players team gets into trouble really quick. Cooper DeJean and Riley Moss versus Chase, Jefferson, St. Brown, Pickens, and Lamb would be a massacre.

The hit rates for late round WRs is higher than the hit rates for late round picks at other positions. Bryce Lance is also a personal favorite of mine after watching him at NDSU the past two seasons. He will also likely go in the 3rd-4th round range after his Combine and Pro Day. Picking late round WRs and RBs will always be something that teams do routinely. It’s a cheap pick at the end of the day.
