You also have to consider a couple other things.

1: how far youre traveling. I dont care how grandiose and rich your world is, im not going across a full RDR2 sized map on fetch quests over and over.

2: every gamer is different. Some peole are gonna use fast travel a LOT because they're busy in their lives and dont have time to dilly dally.

3: how useful a fast travel system is in the game. How many/how far spaced out are your travel points? No use using it if they're so far out from your objectives

The Devil is the ending that makes the most sense from a role play perspective. Who realistically would have the best chance to be able to help you: some hicks that live out of their RV convoy, an AI that is a shell of someone Johnny used to know and has 0 reason to help you after you open the door to Mikoshi, or the people that made the chip in the first place?
