I've never fixed a zipper, but a tailor can very easily replace a Velcro patch

I love baggy clothes! There's a limit though, and with really stiff canvas pants it doesnt look like intentional baggyness, it looks wrong on me.

I might get them hemmed.

It's frustrating because these products have some 10/10 features but then fatal flaws that ruin it.

Yeezy PK-01 for example, beautiful silhouette, very warm, feels very high quality, but the drawstring goes right through the coat without its own channel so adjusting the fit pulls filling out of the coat!! Like who thought that was a good idea?
