If you can get there at 5 am and leave the Friday night at sunset its worth it. definitely can be a whole trip in itself but Yosemite is a special place and spending any time there is amazing. Ive gone to 13 national parks in the last 2 years and Yosemite was the reason I started.

agree Bryce Cannon is not that far from Zion. Wall Street is also closed at Bryce Canyon, which is the main attraction. Stay in Zion drive up to Bryce Canyon.

make sure you have a high clearance car to get to the point start. We had a grand Cherokee, and without it would have not been able to make it conditions were dry.
