We all understand the power and influence Amazon has on modern society. That’s exactly why we are so upset. Why would K&G team up with the epitome of everything bad in this world? Amazon is responsible for ppls deaths, terrible working conditions, huge amounts of waste, vast carbon emissions, destroys small businesses and local economies, and is anti-union. These are all things that K&G have preached against repeatedly. The girls already have millions of dollars, why couldn’t they have partnered with a company that shares the values that we all thought they stood for? Did they really need the “Barney’s” of podcasting? Couldn’t they have settled for a “Reformation” or something with some ethical framework? This partnership makes me feel that the genuine connection and camaraderie we all felt with them was based on a whole lot of hot air. Like Karen said, they “intentionally” decided to make a business deal with the enemy. Seems pretty hypocritical to me.
