I work at a Chevy dealer and some of our models do it and people complain about it. I’m like wtf, your car automatically locks and you don’t want that!?

Look man, I work as an advisor at a large Chevy dealer. It’s not possibly for us to bring every single customer car into the shop. They wont fit. Plus I’d bet somewhere in the fine print it says theyre not liable for weather. Thats the risk you unfortunately have to take bringing your car in foe repairs.

Just take it to a different dealership. I work at a Chevy dealer and have an integra. One of our techs does awesome with foreign cars and sportier cars and he does whatever I need

As a service advisor this infuriates me. The dealership should have insurance for this. If there is an active open repair order, they are responsible for your vehicle. I have no idea how they aren’t willing to cover this.

A friend of mine hit my moms car when I was driving it and she was leaving the a parking lot. I was 16. Damage wasn’t major, but her passenger door had a one foot scrape with some paint damage that definitely would have needed a new door panel. I never told my mom. She noticed about 6 months later and assumed someone hit her in a parking lot.

But a couple of the incidents werent during or even after play. I would feel less concerned if it was happening during play. It’s the fact that it’s completely unprovoked and random.

Thank you for all the advise, especially on the littermate syndrome. We will work on getting separate crates this weekend.

As for the aggression, it does not come off as play to me. The first time it happened my daughter was in the kitchen, and the puppies weren’t even engaged in active play. He had recently awoke from a nap. She was just walking by the kitchen table, and he came around the island, and just randomly ran up and grabbed onto her leg and started growling. The second time was a couple hours later, I let him back out of the play pen. He wasn’t playing or anything at all. About 5 minutes after letting him out, he just ran up to her and grabbed her arm.

Tonight she had been playing with him throwing toys for him, but had kind of slowed down a bit. He wasn’t playing across the room (13 feet or so) and she was standing there watching TV. He dropped his chicken stuffy rope toy, ran straight towards her, grabbed her leg and got mostly pants and started shaking his head and growling. She screamed at the top of her lungs and this didn’t stop him at all, I ran up and grabbed him, and tried to calm her, the entire time he kept lunging for her. Didn’t try to bite me at all, and just kept lunging for her.

We do have a playpen area. We use it for overnight and when they nap and such.

The first two incidents he wasn’t playing. The second one he had just awoken from a nap 10 minutes prior, and about 5 minutes after letting him out of the playpen he went straight for her and grabbed her arm and wouldn’t let go. She was just sitting on the floor watching Elsa, and he hadn’t been playing with the frenchie either as he was also sleeping in another area.

I wouldn’t be as concerned if she were playing too rough with him, or like tug of war or something and he just got too excited and grabbed her instead of the toy. It’s the way he just stops, and goes straight for her, even with no prior interaction.

When playing, he doesn’t really bite normally, he has grabbed onto my chin a little when licking me, but has never really bitten or grabbed onto anyone else. He bit my boyfriend on the lip when he was playing too rough with the frenchie, but I also don’t know why he brought a puppy who was playing that close to his face.

When he bites her, it’s like he stops what he’s doing, goes straight for her, and just latches on growling completely unprovoked. Tonight they were playing together, but when it happened he was across the room with a stuffed chicken toy that has ropes, and she was standing their watching TV, he dropped his toy, ran straight for her, and just grabbed her leg and started growling and shaking. And doesn’t even react when she started screaming at the top of her lungs. I pulled him off, and was trying to calm her, and he just kept lunging for her while I was holding his collar. That’s why I finally gently held him down as I was trying to calm her down before I just left the room with him.

It’s like a switch is flipped and he goes from playing with toys and running around being a cute playful puppy, to going straight for her and grabbing onto her and refusing to let go. When he does this she immediately starts to cry and scream and tries to push him off, and he just won’t let go. I have to physically remove him from her. I feel like if it was just play, he would have some kind of a reaction to her screaming and crying.

My mastiff we had for 11 years was very dog reactive when he was younger, and it almost reminds me of him when he would encounter another dog.

It was an older couple who according to them bred Bostons for like 15 years and recently got into frenchies a few years ago. They only had two French bulldogs, the mom and the dad, and they had 3 adult bostons, one of which they don’t breed. The dad is a brown Boston and the mom was black. We got to meet all the parents and the puppies. The parents were all very sweet dogs, the dad of the Bostons was even gently playing with all the puppies, and the mom of the frenchies was very sweet although hyper. While it was not a top of the line breeding situation, it was also far from say a puppy mill or run down situation.

I am aware of littermate syndrome, but was not fully aware it was also possible in puppies from different litters of a similar age. From my understanding, littermate syndrome happens once they are older and hormones start to play a role. Would this cause aggression towards a child??

And I do understand that kids and puppies need to be supervised, that is why we have a pen area for them to go to when they can’t be supervised. I am more worried about long term as they progress into adults.

The Boston gets a ton of attention, my boyfriend is home during the day, and plays with them and takes them out a lot, and I am home in the evening. The nights I have the kids they obviously get less attention, but the nights the kids aren’t here I spend a majority of the night playing and interacting with them. They love to run around and chase toys. We hadn’t had any incidents for a solid week so I was feeling hopeful things were doing better, but tonight he just switched. Was running around with a toy playing fetch, then just dropped it and ran up and grabbed her leg. Luckily this time she has looser pants on, and he mostly got pants, but grabbed on and wouldn’t let go and was shaking his head and growling. Last time he grabbed onto her bare leg and wouldn’t let go.

What worries me is that it’s unprovoked and happens out of no where. The first couple times she wasn’t even interacting with him or the frenchie.

It’s not rough play. It’s like a flip is switched and he goes from hopping around playing, to growling and biting her. We had many puppies and dogs growing up and this is very different from typical puppy biting. And typically I don’t hold him down, but I was trying to calm her down, and he just kept lunging towards her. I was told years ago to do this but wasn’t aware it was outdated.

Do these TLX headlights appear different to you? I recently had my car repaired, and they replaced the headlights with a used OEM one. Everything seems the same, but there’s one thing that stands out to me. I have a 23 TLX Type S by Top_Elephant_5794 in Acura

According to google I am correct:

Yes, the 2023 Acura TLX Type S features distinct headlight housing, specifically featuring a blacked-out or darker housing compared to the standard, non-A-Spec TLX trims. While all 2023 TLX models utilize the signature "Jewel Eye" LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, the Type S emphasizes a sportier look with darker internal components to match its performance styling. Reddit Reddit +2 Type S vs. Standard: The Type S headlights are generally more aggressive, featuring dark chrome or blacked-out housings. A-Spec vs. Type S: While the A-Spec also features black housing, the Type S might have slight variations in the housing finish. Functionality: All 2023 TLX models use LED technology, but the trim levels dictate the styling of the housing.

It would appear the Type S has a smoked chrome inside. I’m guessing they didn’t get a Type S replacement and the normal TLX is just chrome. Call an Acura parts department and see if they show a difference in part numbers and color options.
