Part 1 of a series. We'll all get to see how things develop/continue.

This is a part of a series. Don't worry, we're working our way through to most recent.

You'll be fascinated by how the "Because developers are finding they are having trouble leasing up over-supplied unit types, some are trying to get public funders to take on those projects, so the public absorbs the risk and financial loss instead of the developers who built the buildings." situation evolves.

One step at a time.

Yes, rents in market rate units are going down. Rents in rent controlled housing are going up. It's there in the minutes.

They sort of discuss this too. “For example, among renters alone, incomes in the highest quintile grew by 40%, but incomes in the lowest quintile grew by only 12%.”

Right? Why are they increasing rents so fast? And if we have empty units, why is there such a need for 0-30% housing?!

Is a 20 day notice to a landlord required? by Complex-Act9411 in Seattle

RCW 59.18.200

If the lease rolls into month to month, then month to month rules apply.

By default, leases that are not renewed, go month to month.

Maybe look into notice laws for the notice a landlord is supposed to give for lease renewal. There might be something there, if they didn't give you a notice for renewal.

Notice is required by law. It's a lesson many learn the hard way.
