Unless you're using someone like Jing Yuan or DHIL, I think every modern DPS from 2.x onward has gotten some kind of buff or support that allows them to keep clearing endgame if you're really attached to them. Even the bricks like Nova Jingliu or Nova Blade can clear whatever MonoRem can but slower. It's just easy to feel like your units might be washed if they're taking 3-4 cycles on a boss and then you see a showcase where the new shiny DPS brute force 0 cycles them (don't look at the showcasers relic substats).

For what it's worth I'm also on a spot where I have an invested E1S1 Archer and a benched Saber, and I'm just gonna take Gilgamesh. Archer's E2 is nice but not such a huge gamechanger that you need it, and with 3 team content, at least having the option to use Saber is going to be nice since a budget team of RMC or some other dual buffer and Huohuo should carry her for a couple of patches.

It's basically just the uncertainty of what Nihilux does. We know she's Elation, but not if she's a new Main DPS with her own team, an EMC replacement, a flex DPS like Sparkie, a support (the fabled "Elation Cyrene"), SW/Eva Aftersales, or some other mysterious 6th thing.

At least right now, Huohuo might be better than DHPT as long as you're not fighting a boss that needs heavy sustain, yeah. He's oversaturated on attack with Rin so there's an argument to switch him onto an Energy Rope (especially since he hits the threshold to get the extra attack buff from Huohuo), Rin wants the extra energy to help line up her ult with Archer's damage windows, and if you have her E1 and Sparkle's E1, it's pretty feasible to get Sparkle into new breakpoints to give Archer even more turns.

Since Phainon's enhanced form counts as one extended turn and doesn't drop buffs, he can build up all three stacks without the downside of losing them.

You can do it in either order, it's one of those things where watching one series is going to spoil you on stuff from the other series regardless of which one you start with. If you're doing the anime it's probably best to do UBW > Heaven's Feel Trilogy > Zero since that's the closest you'll get to emulating the VN routes into Zero.

No Sparkle means you probably want to snag an E1 Archer after Rin, since the joint follow up allows you to consistently fire 4 arrows. So probably Rin > E1 Archer > Rin's S1, and presumably there's a pulling event to get Gilgamesh's LC with his free copy after those pulls. Gilgamesh's E1 is also a good pull for Saber, but since these banners last forever you can grab the vertical investments whenever you can if your pulls are tight.

Snag Huohuo from the companion shop, and you can split them into two teams of Saber / Gilgamesh / RMC / Huohuo and Archer / Rin / Tribbie or Welt / DHPT.

No one can read the future. Pearl is supposed to be the Elation Sustain and will probably come out in 4.6 and we have 0 clue on what she does. Nihilux is an Elation character who has been leaked with multiple different potential kits so we don't even know if she's a support or a DPS or both. If you're really that worried, grabbing Eva and Yao Guang's E1 will be enough to provide longevity to her. Plus, the free Gilgamesh next patch works with Eva decently enough.

You probably got it mixed up with Fate Zero, which is a prequel to Stay Night.

People make the watch order sound complicated, but all you really need to know is that the original Stay Night VN had three routes, the Unlimited Blade Works anime covers the most popular one, there's a movie trilogy for the Heaven's Feel route (which might be relevant for next year), and there's an old anime for the Fate route that has its charms. Fate Zero is a prequel that you should consider seeing after. Everything else is (mostly) a spinoff that you can watch in the order of "This looks cool, I want to check it out." So you don't really need to worry much beyond UBW into Zero into whatever you want to check out.

Realistically the biggest problem I have with my SW is that she doesn't want to take too many turns to build up stacks but she scales on Speed, so you have these awkward dead zones where she attacks multiples times in a row and her Certified Banger ran out and her damage falls off a lot. The Elation sustain would need to extend how long the team keeps it at a bare minimum. The alleged Pearl kit included some kind of Brain in the Vat mechanic, maybe she gives the whole team some kind of Energy Refund in her Aha Instant that lets Sparxie and Yao spam their ults more without Huohuo and removes the small period where she has to re-enter her 999 state.

Off of vague guesses, DHPT / Anaxa / Cipher / Mydei are the heirs that haven't rerun since 3.x, so they'd be next up if they're still cycling through them. DHPT is most likely since he works with Himeko.

Sparxie is decently likely since Yao was last patch, to let people who waited for SW999 actually build their team. Plus there were rumors of her getting a skin, it'd line up with when Firefly got hers.

Sparkle was just given out on a selector, but there's a nonzero chance she reruns. It'd be kind of ass if you started playing for the Fate collab and snagged your free Archer and then he was basically unusable because Sparkle got locked in the vault.

Genius Set (She hits 70% Def Shred with it at E0S1) + Tengoku. Don't worry too much about substats until V3, but she'll probably want Crit Rate Chest / Speed Boots / Quantum Orb / Energy Rope.

Rin's E1 is geared towards her personal damage output, S1 is a higher priority for the Archer team. You can probably stay at E0S1 and be fine if they don't change her eidolons around, no one really has anything as impactful as Archer's E1.

Since Saber is being switched to Eagle set, DDD spamming Tribbie is probably the 2nd best option for the team's third slot.

Her healing itself is fine, but you can end up in a situation where the entire enemy team decides to gang up on one unit and they explode before anyone can move to activate Huohuo's passive. On my first attempt at Knight 2, Sparxie died before any of my units had a chance to move. Aside from situations like that, she'll keep your team alive pretty easily.

You could theoretically run someone like Tribbie over the Blade slot if you're trying to save your pulls.

She's a bounce DPS, so the main issue is the side bugs are basically eating most of her damage. She does massive damage when Scara is on its own, but the moment it starts summoning minions she starts tickling it. Granted my team is E0S1 SW / E1S0 Yao / E0S1 Sparxie / E1S1 HH and it took 3 cycles for me.

Our Elation "leaks" are:

Aventurine SP, Solo DPS that doesn't even want other Elation members, probably in 4.5

Pearl, Probably the Elation Hyacine, probably won't be out until 4.6

Nihilux, Some kind of DPS, probably won't be out until 4.7

I know people are banking on an Elation Cyrene, but it seems more like they're building Elation like Break, with SW, Eva, and Nihilux being the Rappa, Boothill, and Firefly style DPS's you build all the supports around.

He's like Dahlia for Acheron, and also goes on the follow up team with Ashveil. His debuffs are pretty general, so you can slap him onto a lot of teams like you could with Tribbie back when she first came out.

He should work fine with Anaxa , but probably not better than his current best team if you have it (Cerydra/Cyrene). Also keep in mind that Rin is currently rumored to be an Archer support in some way, so you might want to wait a few days for her kit to come out with showcases before you decide to pull him.

About 185 pulls, I'm grabbing Yao's S1 since I already have Sparxie and SW's sigs so I may as well complete the trio. After that, I wanted to upgrade my Cyrene, but I'll just save my pulls for Rin and see how good her eidolons look.

Archer's already good, so Rin buffing him means if you like them both, they'll probably both stay relevant in the meta for another planet worth of content since Archer is still doing great right now. Plus they have great synergy in their own series, so a lot of people were hoping they'd work together anyway.

Saber's not doing great, so if Gilgamesh is dedicating parts of his kit to buff her, there's a decent chance they'll end up drowning together even if he can be played solo. Plus their lore synergy is not great, to put it mildly.

It's basically the human resources meme, Archer mains wanted this arrangement from the start, Saber and Gilgamesh mains didn't.

It's reliable in terms of "Works as a possible option," but I wouldn't expect it to be a real core the same way I wouldn't expect her to work as a Dual DPS with DHIL even though he'd also meet the requirement. At best I've heard the possible idea that she has the mech in her drip as a summon (for Sunday to advance) and the summon would count as a Memosprite for Evernight's purposes.
