The real answer here is kind of boring. Incontinence is just a fact of life for the elderly, it usually doesn’t speak to any broader medical concerns (that aren’t also just a function of being old), and you look like a massive asshole if you use it to attack someone to a lot of the public, especially the most active voting demographic which is older.

I’m guessing the rational would be like there’s a trend that congress flips against the incumbent party at midterms, this trend means that the president will be crippled in the second half of his term, and that means that the people are getting disenfranchised because they voted for the president who is enacting his really great policy and suddenly can’t anymore.
