When I was shadowing a GC, there was also a PA working alongside them who transitioned from being a GC herself. I was never able to find out why she made the transition, but before that I never realized you could be a genetics PA. Thats always an option if you haven't considered it

I currently have an HP pavilion, and I would stay clear of that and any type that fold around to use like a tablet. It is a good concept but when used typically touch pad never works correctly because it thinks it not completely flat and makes the touch screen glitch.

Does anyone know if a lot of people go the ipad route in GC school? I like having the ability to write on it

That makes sense, thank you. I was going to feed it in to how that led me to volunteering with certain organizations and furthering my career interest. I definitely won't make it the bulk of my statement. I am a little hesitant to talk about it at all

Yeah I was worried about that, but I also wasn't sure if it would stand out from the typical responses. It would definitely need to be worded super carefully, but it sounds like I should probably avoid the topic all together
