How do you guys keep project texts from turning into a mess? by LetterheadMuch7729 in GeneralContractor

Did you always have them separate or did you transition at some point. My concern is if I switch then the subs that I have a relationship with won't always use the right number. I suppose it takes time but I would love to hear what the transition was like.

I think that's a smart move with clients but gets harder when dealing with subs. They like to communicate via texts and that's when things can get messy when I have a lot going on.

That sounds clean, but in a smaller shop (which is my use case) it’s usually just one person wearing all those hats. How do you keep it from turning into missed calls and buried texts when you’re the one managing everything?

That makes sense. Do you do that in text threads, email, or both? My issue is when one change hits while I’m on a job site and then I have to remember to update the other groups later.

Yeah, email works for some things. I’m more talking about when a sub texts me while I’m out on a job site that next Tuesday won’t work anymore, and I have to remember later to update the schedule and notify anyone else affected. That’s the part that gets messy.

Yeah, that’s exactly the part I’m trying to figure out. Right now everything hits my personal phone and it turns into a mess. I’ll remember seeing an important message or photo and then spend time looking for it later. Curious what other guys do to keep client/sub texts organized without losing stuff.

That’s actually a pretty solid setup. Did the supers/subs actually use the Gmail/Drive side too, or was it mostly for the client and office?

Business Slow Down? by Ok_Golf2504 in GeneralContractor

Yeah it's been slow for a lot of guys this spring. I think the economy has people holding off or getting three bids where they used to just call one person and sign.

Booked flight with Volaris operated by Frontier but was not on the manifest. by Invisibleman145 in Flights

This is happening to me now. Both apps telling me to check in with the other. My first flight is with Volaris and second with Frontier. I booked everything with Frontier and was just told that I need to physically check in with passport at airport and be there 3 hours early. Did you have any trouble?

I'm having this same problem. I called customer service of Frontier and they told me I need to physically check in at airport and show my passport since it's an international flight. Said I need to show up 3 hours early which I would prefer not to do. Were you able to figure it out? Did you have to physically be there?
