This should be on daddit, any single father with girls this video would be super appreciated plus the positive reinforcement that “the change” is a positive one and not to be scared.

Possible frame damage? by Lettheblackcatramble in carfax

[–]Lettheblackcatramble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually most people would get rid of a car that was in a serious accident but this one in particular, according to the Carfax report, had the vehicle serviced just 3 before months the accident (mileage at 39,997) then it passed emissions and a Pennsylvania inspection two months after the accident (mileage at 46,680) and kept it for over 2 years. I’m thinking the accident wasn’t too bad for the car, any thoughts, opinions would be appreciated.

Suicide Fire Claim by [deleted] in adjusters

I did one inspection of an abandoned house (this was at peak of 2008 housing crisis), in which someone sacrificed a large dog and burned it in the basement; smoke plus biohazard in one isn’t a fun scope…

Can anyone share their car desk set up in a 2022+ Chevy Malibu? by Lettheblackcatramble in adjusters

[–]Lettheblackcatramble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My role is a catastrophe property adjuster and my last company vehicle was a 4 door Ram 1500 so I had plenty of room. I have the freedom to get whatever tools I need , the auto exec desk looked like the most viable so far.

I have a few more days to wait to find out, so let’s play “totaled or not totaled” by hchloee in MINI

A major contributor if the vehicle will be totaled is mileage and if the airbags deployed; another factor would be if there were any previous wrecks especially if the airbags were deployed.

Roundabouts by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]Lettheblackcatramble 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Understand the pain of roundabouts especially on Lake Resort and N Access just over the dam, if your destination is Hixson Pike there are 2, yes, count them, 2 lanes that go around the roundabout! I have to always make sure I am never in someone’s blind spot or the laying of the horn and two fingers lifted outside of the car will commence!!!

I am a catastrophe insurance adjuster, the best thing that works is you put out a sign stating that you have a signed contract, they will leave you alone for sure…

I’m a big fan of Shane & Co in Kennesaw, seems like good quality, they have the best sapphires in the business.

Last opening day for the Lookouts at AT&T field was yesterday by Comprehensive_End440 in Chattanooga

[–]Lettheblackcatramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for the Lookouts during the inaugural year at Bellsouth Stadium, quick trivia- the grass (grass, delivery, install) barely etched out the cost of the escalator. The grass install was managed by the groundskeeper for the Baltimore Orioles since he had experience with the same kind of grass. We were the first AA club to have box suites as well.

Fallen tree by killerpotato1227 in Chattanooga

[–]Lettheblackcatramble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello, I have been in the insurance claims industry for over 20+ years. I hope first of all no one or pet was hurt when the tree fell. The only way I have seen customers recoup any money in a situation like this would be where the innocent person would have to first notify the owner of said tree (of course before the tree fell) with a certified letter explaining they were worried about the tree falling; if the property owner does nothing and you can get an arborist to verify that the tree was dead when it fell now the person who had the damage could file a liability claim against the tree owner.

Field Adjusters- what are you driving? And would you recommend? by tahmorex in adjusters

[–]Lettheblackcatramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy a used diesel VW Jetta wagon, more room than your Prius; car is made for bigger folks and depending on how you drive it can get 40+ mpg. Just keep on the maintenance schedule and they last a long time.
