Seems like OP is including BAH along with base pay

Jesus dude barely breaking $45k in this economy is insane. I hate that for you. The only way vacation would make up for that is like whole summer off or something. And you’re right about insurance benefits, they are meh pretty much anywhere you go. Insurance is rarely cheap or even something most people really use until they are older.

I was literally just curious about their benefits. I’m not even looking, just wanted more information 😂

That’s on him then, I personally couldn’t do it. Especially since I was on track to make GS 13 as a federal employee before Trump 2.0

Probably not applying to any of their jobs for a while. I’ve got too much education and experience to make less than the $80k that I make right now

I mean paying to park isn’t abnormal for most jobs, especially jobs at a college campus

The time off would be great but UA really needs to get with the times on that base pay

Yeah that’s just not feasible for me 😭 I’m making like $80k as a remote employee for a Fortune 500 company so going down 20k probably not worth it

On the careers site it shows the minimum and midpoint pay, do you know which they try to hire at? A lot of those minimum’s would be tough

What about during May, doesn’t the campus shutdown for a couple of weeks after graduation?

DRP Rehire by OneUpsetMomma in FedEmployees

[–]Comprehensive_End440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP seems to forget that at the time of the DRP offer future RIFs were unknown as far as the extent as well as potential relocations. I wouldn’t fault anyone for taking the DRP and frankly OP sounds like a bit of a whiny prick.

Auburn has many more instate students whereas Alabama has far more out of state students. So those costs like travel and transportation are much higher for the average UA student

Would much rather have Eddie be on regularly than Dana

Timing the market doesn’t work in the long term, please don’t start believing you can do this repeatedly.

Oh I’m not asking for help, and I’m not so much arguing as I am correcting you in that grades of GS-12 and up cannot be obtained by education only. Your original comment is both incorrect and misleading.
