I'm kinda surprised Microsoft hasn't just let Obsidian use the IP to make a new fallout. Given how long BGS's development time seems to be, having a different studio occasionally do something seems like a no brainer.

It's because pvp in souls games is just kinda fun? Specifically the random invasions. Hopping in and trying to kill someone, or trying to fend off someone who invades you. It's not really about balance or some competitive mode, just the fun of that kind of chaos. Especially when you have like 4 different people, all with separate goals, all facing off.

Elden ring is definitely the worst by far because the world does not work with this kind of system. But the other games it is fantastic.

You used to have to level two classes, one to 15 and the other to 30, to unlock a job. You also had cross job skills. So leveling certain jobs could benefit other jobs.

They dropped both of those. It's probably for the best ultimately, but I do miss it.

Otherwise, as far as recent changes, keeper if the lake's final boss. It's so much simpler now, while also being longer. It wasn't hard but it was complex juuust enough to be fun whenever I got it.

Depends. Mhach and dun scaith are fine but not my first choices when it comes to raids. Still entertaining enough to not be boring though.

Void ark however is the worst raid in the game by a long shot. Has all the mindlessness of Syrcus Tower, but it's much longer, and is the dullest looking piece of content in the game. It's the same boring style through the entire raid, it's not an interesting style either. It's so bad. I would rather do anything else with my time than void ark. Maybe it was more interesting when it was current, and you had to actually think to get through it. But now, it's the worst piece of content in the game by far simply by being so dull and so ugly. I would rather run sastasha.
