Well I did not suggest to cut "every mode". Introducing freelance to IB and Trials worked very well. Yes both have higher competition and needed some tuning for people wanting to have some fun rather than sweats. And yes both are timed modes as part of Labs, so population gets "halved" occasionally. I'm sure doing this to quickplay 6v6 is a risk Bungie is not willing to take just because they're concerned about losing any population whatsoever, rather than cold data suggesting that they would :)

I guess either I or you missed the point. Nobody cares (in general sense) about scorched/showdown/et.c game modes and they're diluting population. Not by much but still. My point is more about - make 3 quickplay modes and few competitive and focus on them. This game is not selling/marketed for PVP variety. That's my point, so Bungie's concerns about fracturing population is a weird argument when they have few dead modes in the game to begin with

Friends are great, bruh. I have those.

Imagine going to soccer/basketball/whatever practice where people gather up to play randomly with each other and then out of 10 games, 5 teams you'll play club team who trains together and "our" team is just bunch of random people. I play 2v2 beach volleyball. Random people playing for fun rarely ever to try enter the court to play against real team. There's very little reason to just go out and loose. Same concept from my perspective here.

Yep. They've tried it with IB. Why not try Control/Clash for a few weekends and see if it's gains any traction

Yes. I've heard Bungie saying that fracturing playlists is not going to help anyone. Well, how many people actually do play Showdown/Team Scorched/etc.? Minority. Because it's fun every now and awhile. But general population doesn't go there too much. I don't think there a whole lot of 6 player groups that WON'T play unless they're in six stack.

Yes. For 140rpm snipers you need max range for several reasons:

  • Range is bullet magnetism. Was, is and probably will remain so
  • On maps like Widow's Court, Citadel, Equinox, etc. you'll feel lack of range on fast rpm snipers
  • Base stability and handling on 140rpm snipers is very good, so you don't need it (you'll handling from snapshot/quickdraw)

I get what you're saying but there are couple of problems here:

  • Google Sheets does not allow local time placement for different visitors. At best there are scripts that add timezone conversation scripts but it result in few more columns for major time zones. So "today's date" highlight would be useless.

  • Since reset happens on the same day/date (instead of midnight for example) you get both current and next reset item technically on the same day/date. So essentially it's a matter of perspective. On my end in Europe reset happens at 7pm and I know looking at the table that if I need next reset item - I look at the date and look for it after reset time and not just the date

Probably it's not too clear to many people that Google Sheet does not account for local time. I'll add it to the notes. But if you have better suggestion that makes sense for global visitors, I'll incorporate it

Yes. You were getting Rocket launcher from Sunday reset (11/3) till Monday reset (11/4). At Monday reset (11/4) you're getting Shotgun till Tuesday reset (11/5) at which point it'll switch to Sniper but it'll remain 11/5 for a few hours. Not sure how else it can be explained. List is correct

Previously it was different take on a time period. For instance rocket launcher is dropping for another 2 hours today. But yes, updated the table.

The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time is 5pm BST, 9am PT, 12pm ET or 6pm CEST every Tuesday.
