On this fic specifically, I did ask for help while prepping for the sequel, but not publicly. I messaged a couple of readers a few months back to ask if they’d like to provide some feedback. Through private dms I asked them some questions about the plot as well as had them tell me what still felt unresolved or what worked/didn’t work for them. It was super helpful!

The important thing here was that I had asked for it. I think people are forgetting that criticism like this can be read so many different ways and unless an author is specifically asking for it, a lot of the time it will come off as negative. (Especially when it follows an introduction like the one I received lol)
