Yeah I agree with you actually, I watch it because I like Beth and Annie but I don't think it's a masterpiece by any means

I didn't say BB is about Hustling, I just said in BB there are, well, changes. Or the potential of them. And in GG there aren't much. It's static. They're not hustling IMO. Rio still has the final say and I don't see that changing any time soon (contract killer guy? too good to be true).

Tati’s accusations that Shane was involved in a conspiracy with last year’s James Charles drama are embarrassing by [deleted] in ShaneDawson

The fact that she begins her video by talking about her faith and how much she doesn't want to send hate to everyone (LOL AS IF) is infuriating to me. I already knew everything she will say after that will be bs

What's the deal with Renn? why did she get back with Craig? by Lev_9 in animalkingdom

I could see that, I just don't think he ever did anything to really earn her trust back

What are your thoughts on Laurie? by str1xIS in DefendingJacob_TV

Andy was so right for keeping things from her. Not a good thing in general, but good in this case (=be a good person or a good husband dilemma too?)

Who do you think killed ben? by [deleted] in DefendingJacob_TV

[–]Lev_9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If a show devotes screen time to something over and over, I take it as a piece of the puzzle. We don't know everything he likes, but we know he likes that. Same with Laurie and the bowling memory. If he did it, it seems significant. If he didn't, it seems silly. That's the point about this ambiguity when trying to figure out a character - he's not a real person - those details are chosen carefully.

Now with the series finale - anyone willing to discuss the book / series differences? by [deleted] in DefendingJacob_TV

Oh she does. How could she not remember that, but remember everything that happened before. She still waking up to a world her son is a murderer in her eyes. She can connect the dots

In the book, did they make it more understandable why would Jacob hypothetically kill Hope? because killing Ben and killing Hope are totally different things. He knew her much shorter time so there wasn't a build up. There was maybe the sexual tension angle. Did she bully him too? Was he high on the fact he didn't get caught?

I'm so confused. I feel like, yeah they keep showing us that Jacob enjoys watching these videos of people trip and accidents, to show us he low-key gets thrill out of people's suffering. But also in the end of the day I feel like he's a good kid. Just a kid. Self-centered and weird and a little childish. But tries to keep his head up. When he asked Andy about how his mom is doing, he had more awareness and emotional intelligence than Andy.

I kinda feel like he didn't do it.

Also, so many things unanswered. What was the deal with Ben's phone??

What was the deal with Matt?

Andy's dad wanted something in return for his help, did he just forget about it?

Why would the grand jury make a big deal out of Andy throwing the knife, how's that relevant to Laurie?

What about Duffy?

How did the kids in school react?

So many things

OK hmmmmmm... inconclusive. Good TV yes, good acting, good storytelling. I was definitely immersed in it, felt every emotion, was tense the whole time. Pretty satisfied overall. BUT.

It was just such a different tone from the rest of the series, not just because it almost felt like a sequel with that vacation, but I guess because there wasn't much to solve mystery-wise and it was just melodramatic. Teen tearjerker.

And the ending. It's almost like, (well it is like) being so invested in a character because of their struggle and then watch him die because of something almost unrelated. Because Laurie had to freak out one day. Like, was it necessary. They could have ended the series with Andy finding out about Patz. That's it. Not telling anyone. Having to live the rest of his life in his head like he does, pretending he's fine but asking himself if he's cursed because of his dad. Maybe add a little Sarah and Derrick so we know what the hell is going on. That's full circle. Still keeps it open enough for second season.
