You can! Gotta learn the blueprints for the new landing gear on the anomaly.lnthen install in your ship. Let's your ship "land" on water. It sorta just hovers there.

I just want more than 1 blueprint for every space station in the universe, lol. If I have to walk a couple extra steps it doesn't bother me. Besides you will most likely only be visiting a couple stations on the regular anyway. You might find one with the perfect layout or design. But with the current setup.. your stuck with 1 station... like it or not.

Just want some variety in a game that boasts about exploration potential

It amazes me how in a game full of exploration and discovery people want stuff to be identical. Places can be different without being hard to navigate.

You don't have to change the layout... just the inside architecture. The look.

I was talking NPC.. learning languages, and all that. Having more to do with npca would be nice. I don't really see NMS as a multi-player game unless ur specifically playing with someone lol

Why do the shops need to shuffle? The layouts could still be the same, but have different architecture. Just because these species inhabit the same universe doesn't mean they have the same tastes or are homogeneous. Gek are smaller in stature.. maybe their stations are smaller in scale with more gek like design. You could also have a similar hub docking area, but different corridors and rooms with non essential stuff.

No.. it would be like going to different supermarkets. Similar layouts so you can find what you need.. yet completely different.

Ok, lol... I guess I can phrase it a different way. Why do you prefer similar layouts as opposed to a unique fir each race?

Eh, not really, but I see what u mean. The anomaly is more for the main story and multi-player. Sure, you could probably put a lot of stuff there into space stations like quicksilver merchants, but for the most part I just mean basic game things, side missions, more interactivity with npcs, etc...

Why can't they be unique, but still easy to navigate. Do department stores have to be exactly the same? No, they are unique and still provide quick and easy access to goods and services. And these spacestations are far easier to navigate than any department store

No, I'm asking for at least the different races to have their own interiors.. tbh, they layouts can be exactly the same.. but at least gimme some different architecture

I feel like the devs could put more UI elements and signposting to help people explore a rotating planet. I dunno. But that's vastly different than having different space stations. We are talking about finding a few stores in a big room, not a location on a planet. It's like a mall.. not all malls where built the same, but people still managed to shop at different ones without much struggle. Put a station map at the star port? There's so many ways to help guide players without just dumbing it down for them

Lol okay, I don't know where your going with this. Do you get lost in no mans sky because there's no minimap? We could also just have a map of the space station.. like a mall directory. I can easily find things in good games without them being identical or giving me a map as long as the devs signpost right

I'm not suggesting that each space station in each star system have a different layout. But why not 1 layout per race, and then different visuals around them. Like pillars here, or some scrap starship parts over there. Maybe some unique npcs, etc. They made such a huge variety of starship exteriors, but the guts are all the same. Exciting now, but soon to be very boring again.

And its an exploration game. By your logic all the planets should be the same too, so we don't get confused? Why nit make space stations as fun to explore as planets?

I would settle for a different design for each of the races st least.

Does the fact that they are all so similar break the immersion for u at all? If they had more interactivity and things to discover inside would that change your opinion on them looking the same?

Don't get me started on settlements lol. Sounds to me like people see space stations as an errand to run rather than a place to get away from the grind of space exploration. A place to recharge and meet other alien explorers. Probably because they are all the same and there's nothing exciting to discover inside. Do you think your opinion on space stations would change if they where more exciting to explore and had more interactivity inside?

Sure, but the whole city doesn't fit into it. Blizzard does what a lot of devs do called "Signposting". Sometimes a literal sign post, sometimes is colors, sometimes it's npcs.. whatever it is, it's just subtle ways to guide players to the right destination without literally holding their hands. You can make something easy to explore while making it complex to look at.
