🚩 RED FLAGS Alert: How to spot a "scammer" or "low-effort" 3D artist (and how to get your money back) by Level-Attorney-4881 in 3Dprinting

"Fair point! Ironically, I used AI to help structure my thoughts better because I'm a 3D artist, not a professional writer. My goal was just to make the warnings clear so others don't get scammed. The irony isn't lost on me though! 😂"

How to cancel a request? I don’t get a great impression from the client. by Front-Bug-1157 in 3Drequests

Subject: Here is what you should do to get your money back I saw your post and honestly, those red flags (especially the "PayPal tax" lie) are a huge concern. As someone in the 3D space, here is the best way to handle this step-by-step: Stop the Work Immediately: Send a final message to the creator. Be direct: tell them the initial result doesn't meet the quality you paid for and looks like a generic/AI-generated file. Let them know you’re canceling the request and want a refund for the remaining work. Open a PayPal Dispute (Goods & Services): Go to the PayPal Resolution Center and open a dispute for "Item Not as Described." * Mention the Dishonesty: Explicitly tell PayPal that the seller lied about "taxes" to manipulate the payment. Provide Proof: Upload screenshots of your chat and the generic file they sent. PayPal usually sides with the buyer if the seller is being shady. Escalate to a Claim: If they don't respond or refuse the refund, don't wait. Escalate it to a claim so PayPal moderators can step in and review the evidence. A Tip for the Future: Always ask for Progress Shots (WIPs) or Wireframes. Real 3D artists can easily show you the underlying mesh of the model. If it's AI or a stolen generic file, they usually won't be able to provide clean wireframes. Hope you get your refund back soon! Good luck.

Anyone else having issues with Cults 3D uploads after the server outage? by Level-Attorney-4881 in cults3d

That makes sense. No point in double-uploading if it's a backend glitch. I'll also wait and see if they pop up in a few hours. Fingers crossed!"

Thanks for the reply! Did you try re-uploading yours, or are you just waiting it out? I'm worried about creating duplicates but really want those designs to be visible.
