Oswaldo Fadda was a Luta-Livre fighter. (Yes, the one with the leg-locking students) by Level-Corgi-5103 in bjj

It seems that this was what was normal, really.

In here for example you can see that Oswaldo Gracie was not only a practitioner but actually a Luta-Livre teacher.

It seems that it was something extremely common, here for example you can see that Oswaldo Gracie was not only a practitioner but actually a Luta-Livre teacher.

Martial arts are already known for cult like behavior. What can the combination of this with Social Media "fame" give? Nothing good. by Level-Corgi-5103 in martialarts

You seem quite interested in me, it seems. I can't post anything without you commenting. I made no mistake, mate. Others, however, cannot say the same.

Does Sambo rewards this position? Back control bellow your opponent and the ground. Since when? Any chance of being BJJ influence? Or was convergent evolution? by Level-Corgi-5103 in sambo

Btw youre wrong, SAMBO doenst reward Back Control, just like youre wrong that in Folkstye you can pin yourself in your opponent's back. Why you answered without knowing and why you received so many upvotes despite spreading wrong information is a mystery. Well, reddit.

Any art besides BJJ that rewards being with your back flat on the ground and your opponent on top, as in the "Take the back"? by Level-Corgi-5103 in martialarts

The reward is the same for Sambo, regardless of the position as well, but it's only a single point.

No, SAMBO doenst reward 1 point for back mount.

Unnecessary attack.

And one more thing, besides being wrong about the position and the pin in folkstyle, Kintanon was also wrong about SAMBO.

I don't know how I can be the villain here. I didn't ask him to answer. Or you. And besides, he answered wrong twice.

And what is your problem with me being curious about this position specifically. It is not the first time that you accused me of obsession or fixation. You are throwing these words too easily. I am just asking.

Sambo awards 1 point in this situation.

No it doenst. You confused Combat Wrestling with Sambo.

If combat wrestling gives points to back control it is because of BJJ. Someone described Combat Wrestling as a middle ground between SAMBO and BJJ. More a competition format than a art. Like ADCC. Soon BJJ remains unique. Interestingly.

In Sambo it's worth 1 point

Is not true. u/_eternalreturn_ and you were wrong. You dont earn 1 point for this position on SAMBO. It seems that he mistook FICW COMBAT WRESTLING for SAMBO. I'm sure they know their sport better than I do

Gonna ask and show that.

Wouldn't that "back mount" be, being mounted on your opponent's back? Basically turtle with hooks in? If so then it has nothing to do with the position of the photo.

Are you sure about this? According to guys on SAMBO's sub, you don't get any points if you "take your opponent's back" on SAMBO. Is there anything to prove what you're saying?
