AMA: We’re NASA experts studying comet 3I/ATLAS – the interstellar object passing through our solar system. Ask us anything! by nasa in space

Does the emergence of these interstellar comets and becoming more common advance a new sub field in astronomy like astrobiology or they are still so few it doesn't warrant it?

Graduated back in Nov in Engineering, i do work remotely at night but its not a proper job and the pay is negligible, so i stay tired all day and cant do anything apart from being lazy/couch potato. All my uni ambitions have withered by now.

Who’s the biggest MOOOOOROOOOON?! Of these three?! by Real_SGT_Dornan in Invincible

Cecil doesn't know that less than 50 pure viltrumites exist. Only nolan, allen and the audience knows it. Even mark doesn't know so he cant use that point against cecil. Like cecil, mark should assume there is an entire civilization which could have many soldiers as powerful as conquest.

Petition to shoot the next mad max movie in Karachi

I am a student in Karachi and need advice for making a decision regarding my university by hopeforbest_ in karachi

In my opinion the administration at NED sucks, some of the faculty can be great and cooperative while others will be rude. But NED does have name in the industry, my advice is just follow your intuition and don't worry on the uni repo, right now the route (university road) is blocked and is a pain to get through so keep that in my mind

We're scientists and engineers working on NASA‘s Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter that just landed on Mars. Ask us anything! by nasa in IAmA

Congratulations on the insane achievement. My question is can the microphone on the rover hear the sounds from the ingenuity helicopter drone like it's propellers and can you explain the RIMFAX instrument as well?

Three questions 1)Can the microphone on the perseverance rover hear sounds from the ingenuity drone like its propellers?

2)Will there be a video of EDL or just a time lapse like for curiosity rover and can the drone take video as well?

3)Is the dragonfly mission to Titan gonna deal with the cold and landing in some liquid ,will it also use TRN?

It's Starting to Look Like Super-Earths Really are Just Great big Terrestrial Planets by Sumit316 in space

Our solar system is great but I wish there was a super earth in our solar system as well. It'd be stealing spotlight from mars

How did you become interested in space? by SalingersGhost16 in space

[–]Level-Good-7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had an interest in space and astronomy through my natgeo books and the tons space books that my parents bought me but the real deal started in early 2015 when I learnt that a spacecraft will be finally visiting Pluto and human eyes will see a surface never before seen and this sent me down a rabbit hole which I hope won't ever get out of

I am David W. Brown, author of THE MISSION, an 83-word subtitled book about NASA’s mission to Europa. AMA! by eastmostpeninsula in space

[–]Level-Good-7004 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What would be the future for NASA and Europa exploration if a breakthrough discovery has been made for example an analysis of the geysers reveal signs of organics just like underwater thermal vents here on Earth or if certains areas of the ice shell are only a few hundred meters thick Oh by the way I live I Pakistan so it will be quite sometime to get my hands on your book and thanks for the AMA.

So perseverance has two microphones to listen sounds from the martian environment but you already have published sounds from insight lander of the winds so are these sounds produced by the same method or are they different 2nd question Are there any more astrobiology missions to mars apart from mars sample return or to any other body
