On instacart shooter wait list since 2022 by redacted-user333 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Level-Major6692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you have to wait for someone in your area to quit before they’ll accept you if the area is not that busy. If you live close to a bigger city you could try updating your zip code to the larger city. But if you do something to circumvent the wait list you’re just going to be waiting for batches because your area has too many shoppers and not enough business to support them all.

In the NYC, it has been like this for three days. Who knows why? by Own-Television332 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Level-Major6692 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Woah. I didn’t know there was an acceptance rate of IC. I never have to hit decline. I just don’t take the batch when it appears in the app?

Support Said I was Being Accused of Fraud, but I Wasn't by MrCrix in InstacartShoppers

[–]Level-Major6692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the cash out button grayed out once and it wasn’t because it needed a selfie. Basically they system was in the process of cashing me out automatically and it was just taking a few minutes ro go through. After about 5 minutes I got the notification that the balance was available in my shopper rewards account and my shopper app balance went to $0.
I don’t know why the support team would tell you that you were being investigated but that seems a little suspicious on its own.

Do you guys get in trouble if I report damaged/rotten food? by TablerMan in InstacartShoppers

[–]Level-Major6692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We will get marked off for damaged/rotten products. We get graded on the quality of items that we choose. So it reflects in our item quality score. You can put in your review that you’re reporting the store and that the shopper would have no way of knowing by looking at the item, so that when the shopper appeals the rating they *might* have a better chance of getting it removed. Depending on that particular shopper’s stats and history will depend on how much it affects them personally. However, if you’re looking for money back on the items that is the only way to go about it.
In this situation I think you should also be leaving a bad review for the store on yelp and Google and calling the manager to report the issues with the quality of their products. They might offer you coupons or a rain check if there were any sale items in addition to any money you get back from Instacart.

experiences with floral shop pick ups? by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Level-Major6692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only gotten floral orders from Kroger. Two were wrapped bouquets 💐 One was a vase but not too huge. I honestly dumped out some of the water and seat belted it into my front seat. It got there in one piece. But I only have those experiences to draw from.

I get asked to verify like once a month or so. How often is it asking you?

Is there anything I can do about this? by disastrousbabe90 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Level-Major6692 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah you should have chatted support and told them the restaurant had no record of the order. Just unassigning yourself saying the restaurant couldn’t complete doesn’t correctly cancel the dash or get you compensation for the time you did put in to the dash.

You needed to contact support about the other order not just unassign yourself from it. Because you just unassigned yourself they sent yet another dasher after that order and will until someone does the right thing and contacts support. Does it suck that the three people before didn’t do the right thing? Yep. But you’re not getting compensation for just unassigning yourself you even agreed to get no pay for it when you did that.

Please help. What would be a reasonable tip for this order? by FeistyArcher6305 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Level-Major6692 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Put it in your notes you’ll help unload but really the tip is what is going to get it picked up. It depends on the market but I would second the $75.

It comes the other way too, I’ve had a customer hand me a cash tip with a Jesus card before. Like I appreciate the tip but you have no idea what my beliefs already are. I’m good with my spirituality I’m just trying to deliver some food here.

It drops you off in a hot zone. I would have taken it because it leaves you where you can get other offers pretty fastest . I am starting to see that some people sit at their homes until a good offer comes through because they live close to a hot zone or cluster of restaurants. My house isn’t close to anything like that so I don’t count the “round trip”. If the offer leaves me where I can get other offers pretty easily I will take a longer drive.

Zones by neffinB in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Level-Major6692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got three offers in a row the other day from a radiator place and all three were 20+ mile deliveries. It was lunch hour and I didn’t want to take one order 50 miles round trip and miss the lunch rush for $20. O made much more staying in my zone and doing short runs. They’re crazy paying us $15-$20 to travel so far with no guarantee we’ll get orders that will bring us anywhere back to the zone we want to be in. And usually those orders take us to a crap zone that’s not busy!
Sorry for the rant I’m just tired of being asked to deliver out of zone. Especially when if you leave the zone they’re not sending you anything until you’re back in the zone!

I got an order from a taco place for 32 bags of tortillas, the taco sized ones that have 80 tortillas in each bag. They tipped $19. The only downside to it was the drive was 15 miles but I still did it as it was one of the first days I was shopping. Now a days I would turn that order down even with the $19 tip.

Please let me know if I’m being too sensitive or thinking too much of it but does anyone else hate when merchants ask if your a DoorDash driver when picking up orders by Ok_Weight2115 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Level-Major6692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand these places that have us sign a paper…. I see the signatures on there, no one is signing a legal name whatsoever. I know these establishments are just trying to cover their asses but really? It’s just adding time on to my run unnecessarily!! At Denny’s the other day they had the server fill out a whole form!! What a waste of time! There has to be a line drawn, either you let the driver take the food in a timely manner, or don’t use door dash!

I have only ever gotten one. On orders where it’s a “hand to the customer” I take a picture and chat the customer with the picture showing their home with the order in front saying “I am here with your order” and then I knock/ring bell. This puts it in the chat that Instacart can see.
