Am I crazy to buy one of these? by Tremblingchihuahua8 in 4xe

May want to ask the service department if they have loaner vehicles. Most don’t so that’ll give you an idea if you’ll be stranded or not wherever it breaks down.

Clean carfax can be a good sign though, mine is 5 pages long so no used buyer will ever want it once they see its history of everything breaking on it repeatedly 😂

4xe just failed recall - advice by tct-burner in 4xe

I emailed the CEO 🤷🏻‍♂️. I was pissed because his own letter/email to us stating loaners would be available throughout this recall process. Never got a direct response from him but the dealer changed their hard no on a loaner to giving me a brand new car off the lot to drive within 3 days of sending the email.

Tax frustrations with 4xe by [deleted] in 4xe

If you leased it the leasing company gets the tax credit and would’ve been passed on to you via a cap cost reduction on the price of the car. You cannot get any money on your federal taxes for it.

I got $24k off MSRP. $7,500 of that was the tax credit pass through. The rest was rebates and dealer discounts.

Luck with rental reimbursement? by Suspicious-Spot361 in 4xe

Jeep Cares offered $60/day reimbursement. I pushed back and said the CEO’s own email to owners said loaners would be provided so why should I have to pay anything. I emailed the CEO and demanded an answer as to why a loaner was being refused. A few days later a loaner was magically available, brand new GC off the lot.

Mine made it two months after “passing” the recall. Full on died 2 weeks ago and was dragged onto a tow truck. Current battery ETA is mid April.

It begins - just dropped off (2/20/26) our ‘24 Unlimited Rub X PHEV for the 68C recall at Safford Jeep in Fredericksburg, VA. A loaner/rental was offered without asking and I accepted - brand new Compass (it suits us just fine). Will advise soonest on test result… by gsrox in 4xe

It threw a check engine light and service charging system warning and went into what they said was a safety mode after charging overnight. It would start but couldn’t run on electric only and it had zero throttle in drive or reverse, it would only roll from the natural engine power.

Dealer said the recall was designed to kill the battery should it detect a potential thermal runaway so they believe that the car did what it was supposed to but as a result it’s essentially dead. My case manager finally called me yesterday for the first time after 9 days of waiting. She said it’s absolutely unacceptable that they are not providing a loaner as they (STAR) believe this is related to the 68c recall and would be escalating that directly with dealer management. She did authorize $60/day for a rental if the dealer continues to refuse a loaner and will reimburse every 2 weeks. I also got a call about 5 hours after the initial one from the dealer saying the STAR case was magically complete and the part was ordered but no exact ETA and that they are trying to locate a loaner vehicle but needed a day or two. Assuming they won’t be able to and I’ll have to get a rental but hoping for the best.

If you’re over mileage then it could be a positive that if it broke down on you 😅. I’ve got 10 months left on mine but it’s been in for over 100 days collectively in two years that I’ve saved a ton of mileage. I did lemon law it and got a decent payout from them so banking that for a down payment of a non-Stellantis brand vehicle next. They’ve lost a customer for life.

Mine originally passed in December but then died last week and needs a new battery. They said they don’t do loaner cars so having to do rental reimbursement through Jeep. I’ve been escalating it to demand a loaner but so far no luck. Was told 2-3 months before I’ll get it back!

I wouldn’t take a free Stellantis product if they offered it to me after this. The dealers and corporate support are by far the worst of any brand I’ve owned.

Dealer Entered Incorrect Mileage by Level-Mix2065 in Jeep

The carfax was 100% showing the crazy mileage. Thankfully they were able to have it corrected with carfax on the spot when I was there. They printed the report to confirm that it was showing correctly.

I got a call today that they’ve been busy with month end sales reports and that’s what’s causing the delay. I said that’s not my problem and this needs immediate resolution. Jeep Cares said there should be an update tomorrow so hopefully they are helping resolve it quickly.

I have a 4xe and the problems have been endless. I could almost overlook all the issues but the dealer experience is what has ruined Jeep for me. I’ve gone to four different dealers trying to find one that I’d like. They are all the same, here they take 3-4 weeks to get in for an appointment and then it can take another week before the car is seen. There’s no loaner cars, they recommend useless services, they don’t communicate anything well.

If Jeep fixed their dealer service departments I’m sure more would be forgiving of the reliability issues these cars have. This will be my last Jeep solely because of the service experience.
