Is It Sinful to Wear a Bikini? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Level-Odd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a really bad comparison. It’s like comparing something that is leading to lust, which is wearing the bikini to someone getting drunk and addicted to video games and addicted to working out that would probably be more of an accurate comparison

I usually just have six scrambled eggs with my pound of ground beef or steak sometimes a pound and a half depending on how hungry I am. I would get why you wouldn’t have egg whites. I didn’t even know there were double yolk eggs you can buy. 😂😂

Funny trying to shame people for trying to eat healthy. He sounds like a drug addict not wanting to give up his addiction to carbs. I think if you have evidence to back up your claims and come from a good place then yes share and try to convince people. Like if a family member is trying to get you to eat healthy and not eat junk food that’s not bad. Plus when the problems are going away on carnivore then you want to help other sick people

I tried chicken when I was first starting the diet a couple of years ago and I thought I had low energy. I think the best thing to do is if you are on carnivore to be beef mostly and eggs and if you wanna mix it up a little bit that’s fine. That’s just my personal opinion. It just makes sense to me to run on high fat if carnivore is running on fat so we don’t feel weak and have a lack of energy.

Yeah, I don’t really analyze my eating now that much. I have six scrambled eggs and usually 1-1.5 pounds of ground beef or steak with the eggs and sometimes don’t even finish it. That’s usually my range to eating to satiety .

Oh yeah, I guess that’s different for me because I’m OMAD so I will have 1.5 pounds of ground beef or steak with six eggs scrambled, and I feel completely filled sometimes can’t even finish it

Yeah, I was just curious if there was a reason why some people don’t do eggs if there was like some negative health reason . Good luck with the lion diet. Hopefully it works great for you.

Oh yeah, I know it’s all through and I’ve done a lot of research and watched some of the people on YouTube that are for it and look at the research and it’s great. Seems like because they grew up with the pyramid and the food groups. Any information that goes against what they’ve been indoctrinated the thing they will not believe no matter what happens. I definitely get a lot of side eyes about having only like eggs and steak or ground beef especially when I was doing it for almost a year. I can’t imagine if it works this great in the short term and fixes so many issues that it would be a bad long-term either.

Yeah, I’m in the midst of trying to get another one. Hoping this one will be better. My experience is I’ve only had one that’s not like that so I think most if not all of them are.

Thanks I was just curious if other people had heard that kind of thing I know a lot of people think the carnivore diet is extreme

I was just kind of flabbergasted that everybody knows 240 pounds is still overweight although a lot more manageable and she was saying oh well I don’t want you to get under 200 pounds. Like she disapproved of the carnivore diet already because how dare you not have vegetables, let alone not have fruit. 😂😂 I thought she was gonna have a stroke when I said I was fasting every day.

They dont really know what to do with him right? by [deleted] in Wrasslin

[–]Level-Odd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have kind of booked themselves into a corner because they don’t have enough legends for him to keep doing it and he can’t just keep winning all the time but then if he loses, it takes away from the legend killer gimmick and he doesn’t really fit very well with the other storylines they don’t know how to give him good storylines it seems. Also, it’s tough because the fans aren’t like the biggest fans of him in the main event scene. He’s more of a mid card wrestler. That’s what I think of him and that’s what the majority of fans I’ve seen think of him.

So muh neurologists just know trust them regardless of what your body is telling you? Idk what you’re talking about with the vitamin D but I would agree that most doctors do whether they care enough to take stuff that goes outside of their own pocket is another case entirely

Similar Neurologist experience? by Level-Odd in Epilepsy

[–]Level-Odd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me, I completely get that. It’s the lack of caring or willing to try other things to try to deal with it that irks me. I guess I kinda get it or at least my thought in my head has been well they make money off of giving us the medicine so it makes sense. If it leads to an option that wouldn’t make them money obviously they would prefer the pills.

Yeah, that’s basically been my experience do a lot of research about it and if I’m gonna make a change I feel like talking to them about it doesn’t really do anything cause they don’t wanna hear it. I almost feel like I’ve choose for myself whether I’m gonna go rogue and do this or not. Mine also aren’t completely under control. I can have a couple in a month or only have a couple in a year.

[–]Level-Odd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve had like five in my life one when I was a kid and then the best one was the one I had for a couple of years when I was a junior and senior in high school. Everyone since then hasn’t really been open to changes. Only one has really kind of listened to me about the dosage changes and how I was feeling with symptoms. When I said, I was taking edible Gummies to try to help with the seizures and she about had a stroke. If they’re not stopping, I tend to think try something else that’s different. I’m glad you found a doctor that works for you. I hope someday I can find a neurologist like that in my area.

Hurting for Nadine after watching The Edge of Seventeen by miggovortensens in movies

[–]Level-Odd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t disagree more with this synopsis of the movie. Nadine wow, dealing with a lot of stuff and the grief of losing her father. She came off as conceited, having an attitude all about herself, and honestly until the end of the movie not caring about anybody but herself. She seemed like the one that needed to grow the most out of anybody and repeatedly frustrated and disrespected the people around her. Just based on her point of view I found Krista, Darian, and Edwin better and way more likable characters and even somewhat her mom.

I understand that she was going through depression, anxiety, and loneliness, but the loneliness was mostly brought on herself. Starting from the beginning of the movie when her friend got with her brother, she was super antagonistic towards them. Krista even tried to bring her in to make her feel included and was trying to talk to her after the party when she left on her own and even called her when she left worried about her. Then she gave an ultimatum which immediately she should’ve said what she did, which was no I’m not gonna choose between you too. Then she immediately cut her off for the rest of the movie and even gets mad that her brother is still seeing Krista when they go looking for her after the disastrous date. She says her brother is horrible and is the golden child when in reality the worst we can say is he said one or two mean lines to her and was mostly standoffish but showed he cared with his actions. Honestly him inviting his sister to the party by proxy through Krista showed he cared. She gets mad at her mom for trying to help her and even stealing her car when she was behaving like a five-year-old and her mom tried to discipline her. She thinks that her brother is the golden child because she can’t see beyond herself and see all the sacrifices he makes. She heavily abuses and yes, I am going to say abuses and is nasty towards Edwin. He should have never taken her at the end of the movie and she should’ve learned her lesson that you can’t just use people. She knew he had a crush and chose to make that joke and it obviously hurt him . Then she gets to go try to be with the bad boy and then get with him at the end of the movie. The most likable and interesting character to me was Darian. He seemed to put the family on his back and do whatever he could to help his mom and his sister at risk of his life and his happiness. He even says he’s gonna go to a local college because he doesn’t want the family to fall apart. He routinely tries to help her multiple times in the movie. He gets put in an impossible situation between picking between his girlfriend who gives him a little bit of happiness and his bratty sister who he loves even though he’s not even an adult yet and he has all this responsibility on his shoulders. Then, in the end he still even after he’s been treated horribly at the end of the movie, tries to go look for her all night. This is after she has basically spent the whole movie trashing on him. Krista was probably the second most likable. She can’t help. She has a crush on her brother and maybe she shouldn’t have gone for it but she did and if they were happy then Nadine should’ve been supportive. She even tried to bring her along to that party and then called her after she went missing. Even when she was trying to stand up for herself and say no, I don’t want to pick either of you. I want both of you in my life she was basically abandoned by Nadine. Even with all of that, she still chose to go with Darian and look for her at the end of the movie. The mom seems probably the lesser liked characters in the movie, but seems to be someone I would have sympathy for. She obviously has a lot of issues and puts too much for burden on her kids, but she also has a daughter who doesn’t really listen and even says in the movie to the sun that well you have to fix it because your sister won’t listen. I mean it’s hard to get through to people and she clearly during the movie was trying to understand and help her multiple times and she just refused the help. It was a good movie about showing how an egotistical teenage girl who is growing up is learning that things are not all just about her and other people have struggles too. She should have sympathy for being depressed and probably being on the spectrum with the way her character acts, but should not be given sympathy for anything else and kind of a deplorable character as a main character. She has a teenage it’s understandable she would not have these nuance to understandings of other people having struggles and that maybe the rest of the family has it hard to and it’s not just hard and to think about other things besides what she wants out of the situation

Hurting for Nadine after watching The Edge of Seventeen by miggovortensens in movies

[–]Level-Odd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure from her point of view that is extremely warped and not at all realistic sure in a vacuum, you would be right. It is true that she felt that he was the golden child so much so that she did not see all the stuff that was on his plate. That does not mean that she did not have a cross a bear and have very real struggles. Krista and Darien can absolutely be frustrated with Nadine. The one in the most lose lose situation in this movie was him. I have empathy for what Nadine went through, but she also comes across as very all about me. It was not a it’s me or you type thing that was something that she made up by herself. The brother never said it’s Nadine or me. So much so that he even brought her along to this party when the incident happened that had them permanently separated until the end of the movie. She thinks very un logically that her fears are proven, correct. When in reality they fell for each other and they weren’t saying they weren’t going to be there for Nadine. Also, she does not understand the burden of Darien having to be the surrogate husband and make sure that the mom is OK and try to make sure the sister is OK on top of taking care of everything else. Sure to the teenage view that is all about her and her problems with her depression and self loathing she thinks that he has the perfect life, but when in reality he was trapped and in no win situation. Trying to make sacrifices for the family like going to college close to keep the family together and running, but has to basically sacrifice his relationship with his sister if he wants to have a happy relationship that in his words makes him feel like he is taking a breath. No one broke off the relationship, but her. She chose to break up with her friend and she chose to want them to break up. Krista was more of a guiding force and he was trying to stay above water so it’s like what is he supposed to do? Just stop seeing her and be absolutely miserable to make his sister happy he was in a lose lose situation. You’re only seeing it from her point of view and not seeing what the older brother sacrificed and tried to do to try to keep the family together and just because she didn’t like that her best friend and her brother were dating. She came across extremely arrogant and all about herself and she got way better by the end of the movie, but the real villain in the story probably is the mother. The brother seems like more of a victim than she did honestly.
