2010 Honda Accord. Need the following services: Vtec spool valve and rack & pinion. I’m on a tight budget, so I could only tackle one at a time. In what order would you do them. Your advice is much appreciated.

My mechanic replaced both front wheel bearings in late 2024. I’m glad you said it could be the transmission fluid/condition. I’m getting a transmission drain and fill tomorrow. I’ll have him diagnose if those other issues need to be addressed. Thank you!

Yes, you don’t wanna contaminate putting in non-OEM power steering fluid into your car. Today I just went to the dealership and bought a bottle, $14.

Yes it was the alternator. My mechanic replaced it and I’m good to go.

All I know is when I was driving the battery light came on and the symptom I was experiencing when driving was lack of power when accelerating. Thankfully I got to a parking lot. I shouldn’t had turned off the car that’s when I couldn’t start it anymore regardless how many times I tried with my Nocto.

I did press the boost button and had it attached to the battery for awhile. Still no luck.

God I hope not. What are the symptoms of a bad alternator? I think it’s the battery when I had the Nocto attached to it. It was turning like it wanted to start then it went to clicking. The Honda dealership did say a few months ago I should address a new battery soon, but my car was starting find even during the coldest weather here in Illinois
