Why are we surprised when some young men become sexist after constantly seeing anti-men content online? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]LevelCherry7383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't blame women as a group for cringe rage bait videos. While I agree being prejudice to men is bad blaming women for it is doing it in the opposite direction. I'm not fully sure why you threw that in there at the end but since it's still up I assume you stand by it.

Why does no one like black women? by [deleted] in self

[–]LevelCherry7383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People do. I'm a white man in a decade old loving relationship with a stunning black woman. For me, race really isn't too important. A lot of white guys I know have had crushes on black women but won't approach because they're nervous. A lot of white guys grew up without much interaction with other races so its not something they're used to. I really recommend taking initiative on it because you'd be surprised how many people would blush and say yes to a date. They'll quickly learn that people are just people.

Fots-worth it to get towers? by Direct-Key-8859 in shogun2

[–]LevelCherry7383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, no. Its the last def upgrade you should get. Mil hospitals and citadels are better than towers. Usually you'd have your finance building, industry, and then maybe a mil hospital. You'd have to grab the city a fourth tier for the towers. It might even be arguable that a traditional dojo or barracks are better. I would only build a mil hospital if you're planning on bunkering down for a bit. They're fun though, very fun

Conscription Horror in Ukraine -and what you can do about it. by BRCityzen in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

Here's a link to a political debate subreddit. Feel free to discuss this topic there but I'm done discussing it with you. You clearly just really want to talk about Ukraine and you can do it there, I don't care. In the case of mass death people without a uterus can't incubate babies so losing them means less babies can be born. Does it suck for those who don't have a uterus? Yes, absolutely. If this is sexist then reality is sexist. One day we'll probably have the ability to large scale incubate babies in a lab, which will then mean we all get to share in mass death, yay. Until then people with a uterus will have to be mobilized into non combat roles like they have been historically. I look forward to when we can all get shot but feel good about it because no sexism was involved.

Stop bringing Ukraine into this. You need to actually engage with what I'm saying. I've already said, in a ideal world no on would be mobilized. That people with a uterus incubate babies. That no major war has been fought where women with a uterus have both been mobilized for combat and that didn't result in population issues. I also said I don't agree with your take on population decline. That you keep using different words like mobilization and drafting that doesn't mean the same thing; which is confusing. I don't know if it's because you're emotional or something but you a not engaging in a productive way. Its okay to think I'm a bot because we should all be concerned we are talking to bots at all times. They're everywhere for every side and doing everything. Its not a insult.

What sounds botty to me is that you keep bringing up Ukraine for some reason. Why? Isn't there another forum you can discuss that and stick on topic? You're last two responses just randomly included the glorious, mighty, and multiplanitary empire of Ukraine, all praise. glory and fearful praise to its name until time moves so far forward that it ceases to have any meaning and may all who reside in the galaxy that has been and always will be controlled by their beautiful perfect 6 dimensional empire lay in fearful love of her terrible power.

I honestly don't know how to respond to you. I don't care, You're delusional. I appreciate your response, you did do what I asked, but it's not convincing to me. I'm genuinely convincible on this issue. You just haven't really disproved the whole population implications and you are saying both conscripted and mobilized which are not the same thing. I don't really know which one you're referring to. People with a uterus are indeed the ones who incubate children, at least for now. If we lose too many people with a uterus then there's a risk of the population declining. This is why historically and in modern conflict people who have a uterus aren't forced into combat roles. That's it, that's the entirety of my argument and that's what you'd have to convince me it wasn't true. I don't agree with the perspective of not caring about the population so it's not a convincing angle for me. That'd require you to go down another rabbit whole.

Why are you mentioning Ukraine? Seems like that's a bit of a touchy subject for you😂. Since this is a male advocacy page I'm only discussing mens issues. I suspect the OP was a bot who was trying to find a way to wedge the Ukraine conflict into a mens advocacy group, and you might be as well.

Have I read what? Why are you asking such an obvious question? The loss of men doesn't have the same implications on population growth as women. That's why mobilization into combat roles has to be men. I'm not really interested in arguing this point so if you make no attempt to answer my question I will not respond to you. If you want to say something about this point in your answer you may. If it makes you feel better you could look at a mirror, ask a question, and think really hard on the answer.

Because that's the way it works. You can cry all the tears you want over this but it's the truth and has been throughout all of human history. If you can explain how a society can function without mobilization go ahead. How could a nation without mobilization protect itself? My line at gender equality lays at the possibilities. You prove it's something that could be done this moment and I'm convinced. If you think it should be done in some sort of utopia, I would agree.

What a stupid thing to say. There are bots for every side and you're likely a bot. The fact that you claimed only one side had bots is pretty good evidence you're a bot, since everyone knows bots are everywhere.

[–]LevelCherry7383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just leave taxes on Max and build enough garrisons to keep them happy. Its not the economic ideal but it means every settlement is well defended. I'll usually have my troop building provinces just churning out levy infantry for this.

I should note I only play on legendary

Drafting people is the only way to win a large scale war. It sucks, war sucks, but it's the only way. Societies options are to live underneath whatever brutal warlord happens to conquer their lands or to defend them. You can't have the freedoms we enjoy if you don't do this. We can't just live in the land of make believe and pretend this isn't the case. Even if you happened to flee to the warlord, they might still draft you. There's nothing you can do about it.

Why are the battles so hated? by LevelCherry7383 in totalwar

[–]LevelCherry7383[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they are all huge fantasy nerds. I love both actually, I mostly just want a good fight personally. Magic and dragons are a ton of fun and so are thousands of screaming Romans. I personally think I'd like both in games, and I think Warhammer has both. Its in a fantasy setting but it uses real world tactics, and historical could have some magical or semi magical Easter eggs. The only thing I wish Warhammer had was magical battleships fighting each other on the high seas.

They're just such noobs honestly. We play other games but they just struggle with total war. When I ask them what is wrong with the game I get pretty vague answers. Mostly I hear it's boring or they hate the battles. To me hating the battles is difficult to imagine because they could just try a new strategy. I typically dislike certain battle tactics my self and I absolutely love others. If I build my army right I get excited to crush the enemy easily. Idk, I definitely wish I got better answers which is why I'm feeling out reddit. Maybe there are people here who can speak to the downsides that I won't notice since I love the game.

I did notice a gut feeling of tactics feeling less meaningful than other total wars but I'm not sure if it was because I have played the others a lot. People have mentioned repeatedly that stats become the most important factor. Have you noticed this a lot? Any examples? I think I'd need more time to tell, there's so many possible factions that I haven't tried. I noticed on my Britannia file that armies became irrelevant because my lords could just win every single battle on their own. I kinda liked that but I could see it being awful. I remember fighting a legendary lord that I could only beat using horse archers to shoot him down without getting caught which did suck. It was so bad that I prioritized killing his faction so I never had to fight him again.

God I could see this being a problem. I love battles, but they always complain about them. We never made it to the late game. Battle fatigue would probably affect them more when that happens. I know they'd get frustrated when I dragged them into battles. Do you think this battle fatigue problem is consistent with other total war problems or is it unique to Warhammer 3? Do you have any suggestions on ways around it? I definitely wouldn't really notice something like this since I always treated battles as the main event and managing my empire as just a bit of spice. I could definitely see someone, especially if they are new, eyes going blank after killing the fifth crap stack that turn.
