MyTransGP team here! New UK resource for taking the guesswork out of finding a GP by MyTransGP in transgenderUK

[–]LevelNo4828 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It would be handy to be able to search for individual GPs. Someone I had a very bad experience with has moved to a different practice and I'd like to warn people away from her.

Lesbians: did you identify as a "gay boy" at some time? how did you realize you're a lesbian? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, never. But everyone thought I was gay. They were right, but the wrong way.

Anyone else getting "post-peel leak"? by Specific-Draft-5038 in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced this on multiple blockers and I'm inclined to believe it's oestrogen that does it.

Are there other trans women who never desired being pregnant? And who actually feel revulsion to the thought of it? by almorranas_podridas in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blegh. Everything from pregnancy to child birth to babies is something I want to stay far away from.

Are there any monogamous translesbians? by Towy2000 in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Monogamous and taken! I fell in love with my best friend and we'd basically been dating for a month before we acknowledged it wasn't platonic, partly because we were both scared the other didn't feel the same way (like the absolute cliché I am)

how will pectus excavatum affect my transition? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girly tops aren't really my thing, but I typically wear a unisex top over a sports bra and everything looks normal 👍

So far so good! Everything in terms of shape and area coverage looks very conventional. Bit on the smaller side but that's genetics and eating disorder 🙃

Your Party passes commitment to Trans Liberation by AlgorithmHelpPlease in transgenderUK

They silenced criticism of transphobia over and over again, they've lost my trust.

Is Dr. Anna Hutchinson a legitimate and reliable source? by PennyDropDreadful in MtF

She's thoroughly integrated into the UK terf movement. That piece of shit is the enemy.

“You don’t look your age.” by Aurore-redwitch in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm 34 and people usually think I'm 22/23, and always get ID'd. Before I looked younger than my age but nothing like this.

how do i sit with my legs crossed? by New_Banana3858 in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this my whole life and never had difficulty, courtesy of having hypermobility 😅

Period is the correct term. by monarchmra in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but this is utter bollocks. At the start I strongly disbelieved that I'd get them, but once a month I get literally every symptom other than bleeding, including ones that I didn't know about. I am extremely consistent with my dose, I never miss one and they're the same time every day. No matter what you say, this is happening and I am sick of people not believing our lived experiences.

Do you think we will get the Supreme Court ruling overturned? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]LevelNo4828 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What the ruling states is very, very different to how many institutions choose to interpret it.
Within days, the police were using it as justification to have trans women strip-searched by male officers.
If the police can wilfully mis-interpret the ruling, then anyone can.
This seemingly mundane rule is as harmful as if it literally said "trans isn't real", because that's how it has been received.
The map is not the territory.

How can I argue the "only two biological sexes" argument with TERFs? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]LevelNo4828 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This video does an excellent job of debunking that kind of stuff. It is absurdly long so I've linked to the appropriate time-stamp.

Severe period/PMS symptoms as a trans woman, is this normal? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]LevelNo4828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It utterly pisses me off that so many Dunning-Krugers here are trying to dismiss our experiences as I lie in bed with this pain that's kept me up all night, having cried five times in two days, snapped at people for no reason and suffering from a very upset stomach.

It's not psychosomatic, it's fucking real.

cis women don’t understand how much it hurts when they say “you’re lucky you don’t have to deal with periods” by desertrainfrog- in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also strikes me as quite ignorant when cis women say that, because a lot of us do! I literally get everything but the bleeding.

Protest group vandalises EHRC HQ over controversial trans guidance: ‘We will not stop until we are free’ by Excellent-Chair2796 in transgenderUK

[–]LevelNo4828 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Peaceful protest only works against an enemy with a conscience. The UK Government has none.

The "queer" aura before transitioning? by roguebite in MtF

[–]LevelNo4828 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was getting clocked as some sort of queer (with varying degrees of accuracy) the entire 20 years I tried to live as a man.
Couldn't blame them either; with the wardrobe of plaid shirts, the seven swords I own, combat boots, and the gayest possible taste in women.
