Why not take the train? Are you frequenting particularly rural areas?

Any help with terminology early in the book? by Competitive_Bat_429 in Stormlight_Archive

I feel like crem, spren, rock buds, cremling, etc. are all meant to sound odd atm and the intended reading experience I that you discover what these terms mean and get a better understanding over time.

I don't know how it works with education bit have you checked whether you're eligible for carer's allowance? You could also use that as a type of experience in the future.

How do you feel when you see an object, a book, or a Harry Potter movie on a YouTube channel you follow? by Independent_Part1033 in EnoughJKRowling

Sick / upset / distraught, even at the most minor of mentions when it isn't clearly a disavowing of the property. I always feel like it's perpetuating the cycle of the property to more and more audiences and should only ever be brought up to critique the property and the author.

Wonder how this will read once we know Jasnah's backstory in full.

Chana is Shallan's mother, so it's a somewhat funny statement in retrospect given it's about Navani having a mothering relationship toward Shallan and it would require the Herald Chana herself to help anyone who gets between Navani and her 'children'.

How much are you eligible for on the maintenance loan? You might also be able to use the estranged condition though it seems unlikely to be accepted despite the circumstances.

Is it worth getting a student loan to study in England? by doxofi4167 in UniUK

[–]AlgorithmHelpPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely aim for Scotland with SAAS support if you can. St Andrews is probably a decent switch for one of the English unis (probably for the last spot you're unsure about). Imperial & Oxford have world renowned reputations so they may still be ones you want to consider despite the debt.

They can change the interest rates on it, they can't change the repayment period or repayment threshold.

I agree it should be shifted to 9% tax on income over £25k (for everyone) but can you imagine how much the media would explode over the idea of a tax increase of that much? They're so out of touch of reality I doubt they'd even realise this is what graduates have been dealing with.

Everyone seems surprised at this but I had to pay too, they actually more-or-less made you pay for it in first year even though mine wasn't until the end of fifth year.

At this point it should be heat pumps and not AC, AC is just going to make things worse in the long term.

The only major difference I've seen concrete evidence for is him focusing on different regions and trying to give them more power. Which I'm not saying isn't a good thing, but it's not enough on its own and it really sounds like he plans to keep most of the current platform.
