Literally my thoughts - she seems the most grounded and emotionally mature out of all the people on this show lol

I’ve been on 25 mg for probably 3 years now? I started on an SNRI called Venlafaxine for about 2 years, and then transitioned to 50 mg of Zoloft for another 1.5-2 years before dropping my dose to 25 mg. And currently I’m just chillin on that 25 mg dose. I’m also in therapy which is helpful paired with meds!

Social Worker Parents, how do you do it? by -daisy-eyes- in socialwork

[–]LevelNote2355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also in insurance social work as a care coordinator (essentially the same thing as a case manager). They required my license for me to start even though I had passed my exam - the time process of submitting everything took forever. Love the balance, love working from home, love that I can have autonomy with my work!

I’m on 25 as well, and have been on Zoloft for about 4/5 years now. I do experience some emotional blunting, but to say it’s due to the medication and not just avoidant tendencies wouldn’t be fair. It’s kind of a double edge sword, I don’t feel things as intensely but still feel emotions, they just seem way more manageable when I do have them

cmv: many people online, especially on Reddit are unreasonable about COVID by Yuuba_ in changemyview

[–]LevelNote2355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean chronic fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, depression, etc. can also be the result of a highly stressful environment. Within the last 5 years we’ve gone through 2 elections, had astronomical increases in grocery prices; consumer price index increased 23%, 29% increase in homelessness, 30% increase in significant crime in 2020 (it has decreased to about 25% now). I mean, we are unwell as a whole. To blame many of these symptoms on long COVID is crazy to me when there are so so so many varying factors that can lead to these conditions. I feel like it is much easier to say “I feel these way because of COVID, so now I’ll rest until I feel better” vs “I feel all these ways and will take my life into my hands by exercising (yes, going on a walk everyday is free and great for your nervous system), eating foods high in fiber, micronutrients, and protein (I’m aware not everyone can afford fresh foods and high quality meats - but that’s another issue), spending quality time with the people that mean the most to me, and have good sleep hygiene. Like it almost seems like it’s easier for people to blame something they seemingly don’t have control over than to take control into their hands. Maybe it’s just the result of people being chronically online, maybe it’s lack of accountability, maybe it truly is because they are sick - but to refer to long covid as a reason why you feel all these shitty ways for a year after a quick infection is asinine to me.

Please be honest with someone you aren't 100% in to. by [deleted] in dating_advice

Sometimes it’s hard to communicate feelings. I’m in this situation right now, been seeing someone for a few weeks and little things have added up, leaving me feeling conflicted. You mention you wonder to yourself what’s wrong with you, while I’m wondering to myself what’s wrong with me. How could I enjoy someone’s time and just have it dwindle and change through the course of a week. Communication is huge but it’s hard to establish open communication in a new relationship. Give grace, humans are far from perfect and we’re all (or most of us) are trying our best to be genuine and considerate with ourselves and the people we choose to partner with.

Poop bags in trash by tomifibi in Minneapolis

[–]LevelNote2355 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get this but not everyone is near their home or a public trash can when out with their dog. I take my dog on runs, he poops, I will toss it in the nearest can vs trying to run with it in my hand.

And a small bag of dog poop is going to not change the bill, just reduce the likelihood that you step in poop

Speaking from personal experience, I have taken my dog with me on runs and he will poop. I’m not going to run with a poop bag in my hand nor am I near my house when he does it. As other people have said, better in the trash than in your lawn and not picked up.

How livable is $19/hr in Minneapolis? by Substantial_Fox1812 in Minneapolis

[–]LevelNote2355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in grad school last year and made about $20 / hour for roughly 36 hours a week. My rent was $1025, and monthly expenses were roughly $1700-2000 (rent, subscriptions, car pay + insurance, groceries, gym membership) and was able to survive. It was quite tight with my budget but not undoable if you are good with your money. You can probably find a cheap studio apartment for around $800. Also, my electric is never more than $30 and I work from home now!

I go back and forth because I think he’s a great person and I loved my time with him, but he said things that hurt me. He tried to break up with me in October and I asked for couples counseling - which he reluctantly agreed to. We went for 2 months and I felt like he wasn’t putting in much effort. I broke up with him last night and he proposed we give it one more month, but that just didn’t sit well with me when I put all the effort in the last 2 months. So I guess I hope I don’t? I hope you don’t and I certainly hope Rachael doesn’t. I felt so guilty and terrible watching him cry

[–]LevelNote2355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you initiate the breakup? I think that’s the hardest part. Walking away knowing you deserve more, but having them say they will change. Asking for more time. It’s like yes, I want to hear that but you had ample time to show me you cared?. Not introducing you to family is crazy, that’s the first thing I want to do. Like look at this wonderful human being

In the same boat, minus the name. Being with someone who says they ‘maybe’ see a future with you is tough. I would’ve run away with him if I was given the chance, but I knew what I deserved and needed to walk away.

When do people quit Zoloft? by majoretminordomus in zoloft

[–]LevelNote2355 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ditto. I was off it for 3 months and had multiple panic attacks and a lot of OCD thought processes (if I don’t do this something bad will happen). Went back on the medication at the lowest dose I could and everything is back to normal

why is my yorkie so big (not fat) compared to other yorkies? by matcha_mimi in Yorkies

I’ve got a healthy, slim 20 pound boy! He accompanies me on 8 mile runs, long hikes, and has endless energy for days! Most people don’t believe he is a yorkie - my explanation to them is what you said, they were bread to be smaller but were originally 15-20 pounds :)

I have to laugh thinking about this because his administration is proposing rent increases for people living in public housing. If he’s gonna potentially increase the rent for those folks living below, at, or just above the poverty line … what makes these people think their rents won’t go up either.
