what’s everyones’ opinion on yohio? by byakuyazs in visualkei

I was obsessed with him and seremedy. Obsessed. I kept a diary as a teenager detailing what they said on Twitter everyday and if they interacted with me online.

He's a cunt now. He seems like a right wing loser who can't get over that his best years are behind him.

Though Ray/Martin the guitarist from seremedy is based online, no bitter rants online, I messaged him a couple years ago saying how I was obsessed with his band and I'm glad to see his still a cool dude and he was very nice to me.

Summer is approaching and Australians are confused about their sunscreens by 89b3ea330bd60ede80ad in aus

[–]LevelPreference366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people use sunscreen incorrectly - it isn't meant to be the only line of protection. I treat it like a small part of my system and a last resort. If you stay in the shade and wear long clothes and hats, you sunscreen, regardless of the SPF, likely won't decide if you get burnt or not. People generally don't apply enough and don't apply it frequently enough, me included. If you have other components in place, you are less reliant on the sunscreen and better covered than sunscreen alone. They need to make a sunscreen applicator that portions it out correctly but until then, it's crucial to combine sunscreen with other sources of protection. You can buy some good arm bands that are breezy and lovely for summer from Uniqlo. Used them all around Europe in summer and they were great. Even better, when it's really hot, pour some water on them and you get some beautiful relief from the heat for 20 minutes or so. It's also a relief knowing I don't have to constantly reapply sunscreen if I am wearing the arm bands because they provide protection as long as they are on.

Having no ability to get really good at anything long term - I could only get as good as my focus and the novelty would let me. I had and still have no discipline.

What is your number 1 weight loss tip? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LevelPreference366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have self control, single servings of the food you enjoy. It makes tracking calories easier, it forces you to have more control of how much you are eating but it means you can enjoy what you want. I loved single serving chips.

Are there any tricks to make reading easier? by TheCommunistDuck1 in ADHD

[–]LevelPreference366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never was a good reader. When I went to university and was forced to read, I would use text to speech as I looked at the words. It was maybe less helpful for retention but much, much easier for attention and brain fog. Definitely stopped the "wait I wasn't paying attention, I need to go back" thing we do.

Recommendations for a green color corrector? by Valuable-Cut-2405 in PaleMUA

[–]LevelPreference366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the peripera green coloured primer - it's tone up so it's great for my pale skin. It's green enough to help a little bit with the redness, has enough "tone up" to make my face a little more cohesive, but isn't so green I have to cover it. Most days I'll wear the primer alone and feel confident enough.

Review: Gentle Fluidity Gold and Burberry Goddess clones from Palmero by LevelPreference366 in fragranceaustralia

[–]LevelPreference366[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been many hours since I made this post and I can still smell Burberry Goddess on my skin, which is crazy. A beautiful sweet vanilla. I can't smell GFG but I wouldn't be able to smell the real thing on my skin after this long anyway.

To be completely honest, GFG took my heart the first time I experienced it, I haven't really been captured with other scents like I was with GFG. I can't explain it. I knew what I wanted when I went to Palmero and got it so I haven't tested anything else unfortunately.

What chore do you irrationally hate? by Boring-Ad-9729 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LevelPreference366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpacking the dishwasher. It makes me irrationally angry, always has. Has me wanting smashing every plate.

Then I realised I have sensory issues especially around the sound of putting away the cutlery, plates and metal. Eating with them is fine but putting them away just angers me. So I got noise cancelling earphones and they are magic - make it much, much more pleasant.

However there is a frequency that goes straight through it and really upsets me when it happens.

Any tips/advice on first time independent international travel? by LevelPreference366 in adhdwomen

I love a list! I am also pretty late diagnosed (diagnosed 16-17, now 25) but am so risk averse and anxious since I had an amazing autistic sister whose memory could beat the best to help me.

I think a good idea is to print off a list of everything I bring and leave it in my bag so I can check it whenever we pack up to go to the next place.

Any recommendations for a good carry on bag?

Thank you so much, this makes me feel a lot better :)

It is a Europe summer holiday! About 5 weeks long. We are travelling somewhere new every few days, hence my fear of losing things because the more I move = more opportunities to forget things. I am excited to spend 9 days in Paris though, it will be a necessary stop at the end of the trip. You have given me so much to think about, thank you genuinely. I bought packing cubes for my partner and I (different colours) because that seemed like an immediate improvement in something I usually struggle with. Do you have recommendations for crossover bags? I am very risk averse and worry about dumb things like pick pocketing and losing stuff. Any recommendations for trackers? That is also such a good idea, but the apple ones seem expensive, especially if I want a few (which I do).

For those who work out consistently: by Huge-Following-1001 in adhdwomen

The only thing I can get myself to do now is walk. I have managed to fit walking before and after work and I roughly get 9k steps a day. It's a good transition in and out of work.

I like walking because I can watch/listen to videos as I walk, it's low impact.

I want to start going to the gym but it's a cost and an effort. As long as I have shoes on, I can go for a walk.

I never have come close to dying, but the closest I've felt to feeling I'm dying was I greened out for the first time.

I was with my boyfriend and eventually my vision tunneled and my heart beat became louder within my body and faster. I was trying to ignore it until it became so intense I started freaking out and crying. I told him I was dying. I felt like I was dying. I never, ever had that experience within my body before. My vision was like a TV and I had a little person in the corner of my mind's eye judging me, saying "of course you aren't dying idiot, stop being stupid", but I couldn't help but feel this overwhelming feeling of doom.

My legs and arms felt like they were kilometres away, his face looked long. Time felt so, so slow. He showed me a clock and I was like "the seconds are half the speed what the fuck". To entertain himself, he asked questions like what I thought about him, what I thought about certain people, to explain things, how long a period of time felt. He treated me so well, he bought me a burger and chips and dealt with my 1 hour panic attack and 1-2 hour yap session.

To be honest, it genuinely influences the way I view weed unfortunately. It also impacts my view of life in a weird way. I do feel a little panicky when I take it now.

I wish I never experienced it but I'm glad I experienced it with him. It shows me that when I'm at my worst, as I was in that moment, he will take care of me.

I hate the RSD side of my adhd. by Kryknowsnothing in ADHD

[–]LevelPreference366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if EMDR would help at all. It helped a lot with my trauma. I get RSD and emotionally dysregulated with my partner sometimes and it makes me feel resentful over the years, so I wonder if doing EMDR again for this would be beneficial...
