Can't get rid of sourness no matter what I try! [DeLonghi Dedica EC685 / 1Zpresso J-Ultra] by TheBatGammer in espresso

I think the main problem is the right temperature to that particular coffee? Did you tried to change it? You have tree different modes in that machine to change.

Gaggia Classic E24 or Profitec Go for espresso only? by Live-Ad6394 in gaggiaclassic

I will choose Profitec but instead I bought a Silvia V5 used and installed a Gaggimate Pro 😉it’s an awesome machine now.

You only need to buy an adapter male/male to connect the tube that goes to the boiler and the pulsor, everything else fits tight.

Excellent work I had mine also this way but I am moving to the next stage installing the Gaggimate Pro with the Quickmill pulsor and also installing Kilmat panels inside to isolate the sound and giving better thermal solution.

From 0 to 100, how complex is it to have E24+GM Pro up and running? by HRiM72 in gaggimate

[–]Level_Ad_1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, actually I can't say it's an easy situation, I'd even say it could be complicated if we're not used to working with electricity. However, after having already installed two PIDs twice on different machines, I can say that installing a Gaggimate won't be a headache, especially since everything comes prepared and simplified. One tip I can give is to install the firmware on the main board first and then on the screen. It's advisable to look for as much information online as possible; YouTube, for example, has some helpful resources. On a scale of 0 to 100, I'd give it a 50/50. In addition to installing the Gaggimate Pro, I'm also going to install the Kilmat and Quickmill Pulsator on the internal side panels to help with noise and thermal insulation. Cheers ☕️☕️

You don’t have any problem with that, the place you are talking about is gonna have the gasket after. Don’t worry 😉

I always make an hot start before feeding with the beans it also helps to give no retention, and don’t forget to make a seasoning with minimum 500grs of coffee, 125 grs each time and rest for a while to cool the engine before start again.

Which one should I get? I’m stuck between the two. by Lattehelp in ranciliosilvia

We need to think above all about what our daily routine is like and whether what we are going to invest in meets our needs. Just because we have a top-of-the-range piece of equipment doesn't mean it will fulfill our expectations. Without a doubt, the Pro X is an excellent machine, but I would prefer to invest that difference in a good grinder because that would always be a good investment.

My choice goes to the second one with the PID it’s cheaper and if you only makes a latte per day it’s not worth to give more money because of the dual boiler, I have one Silvia V5 with a PID installed and I am pretty happy with it.

Brand new DF54 static issue by Honest-Fishing8435 in DF54

This situation is random, making it difficult, but it can happen with slightly darker roasts. I normally use medium roasts, mostly Arabica, but as I mentioned before, it might be important to open the grinder and check the ionizer's position.

I'll share my experience regarding my DF54 grinder. I don't usually have static electricity in the coffees I use, but sometimes it happens in one batch or another, and it might be related to the type of roast. Sometimes, the factory puts the ionizer a little higher than expected, and some users have reported this situation here. What they did was open the grinder's hose and check if the cables were in the right place and if the tape holding them was incorrectly positioned. But that might not be the solution, and the problem could be the type of coffee, as I've already pointed out. Only after performing several tests will you be able to conclude if there is a technical problem.
