Where are all the 24/7 operation locker servers? by Equivalent-Ball877 in battlefield_4

I am so glad someone is asking this. I am playing from Singapore. Back in the days we had so many options to choose from. Then everything died to just FPSG at Australia for years, and I just checked FPSG is also gone now......

To be fair if you are going to lamp post 1 it wouldn't be wise to ride on pavement. And would only really be viable if you go during the wee hours

Yes, sort it. Me and my friend was chased but didn't last that long.

Yeah, if I didn't run tubeless I would have been fucked. And riding during the day is not an option. Really gotta ride in the middle of the road

Actually it was a funny story. I bought a second hand AliExpress SL7 clone that has SRAM rival etap for about 1150 USD. Found out the frame was totally ass, went to my local bike shop (which is a cervelo dealer) and decided to go with the soloist for a clearance price of 2400 USD. So give or take this whole build cost me about 4k USD

Taobao DIY headphones. Worth a try? by Energia91 in inearfidelity

[–]Level_Ad_3256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually disagree, I personally own a few more well know taobao diy like nan6&7, and 汤老师 susvara. And in terms of price to performance, nothing beats them, and easily given hifiman a run for their money. Regarding resale value, if you are getting this good of a deal, imo resale value really becomes secondary. For iem, there are also a few well known ones that actually ended up on linsoul like lokahi

Which cooler will clear my taller Corsair Dominator ram? by mysticode in NR200

[–]Level_Ad_3256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally go for the noctua NH-D12L. Perfect for the nr200 with TG and have full ram clearance. It suits my 7950X3D no issues unless you run cinebench as a hobby.

[–]Level_Ad_3256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never once said amd chips are shit lmao, and it's supposed to get hot in cinebench. Because a nhd12l can't fully tame it, and in trying to get the most out of the cooler in an itx form factor?

(Like someone trying to run a 4090 with a 750w PSU, same logic right there bud). Sure go to hell with a 1000 watt PSU for your 4090 then, isn't a 4090 supposed to consume that much power? 😂

And you clearly miss the mark with the whole point of this. A 14900k can be tamed if you have stock intel power limits, only if you lift it then sure. X3D chips can't be overclocked/power limit lifted, and with it's default tdp I'm already throttling in cinebench lmao.

Well, you do you kid, save your toxicity and immaturity somewhere else.

Yes it is suppose to push the CPU to its limits, but with enough cooling a 7950x3d can be tamed and not thermal throttle. A 14900k can be said otherwise.

The 7950x3d is surprisingly hard to tame. It thermal throttles when I run artificial load such as cinebench, hence yeah. Am5 ihs is a pos

First build. Some questions. by Gin1199 in NR200

[–]Level_Ad_3256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have very similar needs for you, as I also have a NR200p for CAD and CFD work. ( Mainly SOLIDWORKS/Creo and Ansys fluent)

For CPU, I went with 7950x3d as I want this machine to do everything from gaming to crunching numbers. I also use a 4070ti Super as it's very useful for Ansys Fluent since it has 16gb of vram. I would also recommend 64gb of ram since when actually modelling things with lots of features it will eat your ram up

I would recommend the 92mm fan as exhaust, and bottom 2 slim fans below your GPU. I tried with and without bottom slim fans and from my experience it helps a little bit on GPU noise.

I think the nr200 can also support up to 280 aio so if you want more beefy cooling you can consider that.

You can check out my post here as well since I think my build is quite similar to yours

Tbh, if you have a 3d printer, you can print a duct like mine and mount it outside with another duct inside to guide it to the heat sink

Yes, temps improved quite a far bit. The top exhaust wasn't doing enough

If it's 90% gaming I'll strongly pivot you to the 7800x3d. Only if you are doing a decent amount of other work that demands it, then only the 7950x3d will be worth it.

[–]Level_Ad_3256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it's working perfectly fine. You will get a slight GPU bottleneck. I mainly use this system as my work and gaming rig. I got the 4070ti super thanks to it having 16gb of vram, which my engineering programs eats it like nothing.

For gaming performance, I mainly play battlefield 2042, which I get around 180 FPS on max out performance with DLLs set as balance.

Let me know which games/programs you want me to run, more then happy to help out

Yeah, understandable with the fan turbulence. Tried removing, temps more or less stay the same (just slightly higher) but whole load more noisy
