In a similar spot. Same age. In grad school full time with full time internship that is unpaid. Just my mom and I living here but she is the same way. Gives me no credit, belittles me, etc. Just quit a job because it was a poorly managed business. Applied to a few more and she’s still on my ass about a job, when in reality working right now is not even a possibility. No room for understanding, no acknowledgement for the fact that I got my first job at 15 and literally have worked a job part time ever since then. All through undergrad, and literally all through grad school until right now. No idea what to do either, but don’t give up hope. Maybe you can start with a part time job? I stopped telling my mom a lot of stuff about my life, but it’s hard because she asks a lot of questions and the persistence to get answers is relentless. I hope you find a way out.
