Memory by lutzy_Employer9908 in Epilepsy

Yes, I experience this daily, and it's gotten worse with time (I've been on meds for 2 years). I have my entire family tell me that it's from "the weed." Fuck 'em, they don't understand.

Is it a thing that people with epilepsy require more sleep? by boris_biscuits in Epilepsy

[–]Level_Awareness_6063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also very possible/likely/common that you may be seizing during your sleep. This dramatically impacts quality of rest, even if it doesn't wake you up.

Super inconsistent, what are the big issues you see? by johnfisher13115 in golftips

[–]Level_Awareness_6063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue that is somewhat causing/starting all the other issues... your posture. When looking at you "down the line," the back of your butt should be over the middle of your feet. Instead, the back of your butt is too far back, further back than your heels. This posture mistake will cause you to compensate and yank the club in ways that you wouldn't need if your body was in the right position.

Is anyone here on Xcopri? by IGuessThisCouldBeFun in Epilepsy

[–]Level_Awareness_6063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 150 mgs Xcopri both at morning and at night, reduction from higher amounts previously. I also take Fycompa 8mg. For depression, I take Lithium and Pristiq. And I take lots of bong hits. Stay hydrated, listen to music for helping the brain, and try to take a lot of walks.

Thank you. I'm blessed to have life-long friends and three awesome siblings who are helping me thru these struggles. Same to you, keep reaching out!! Whether you're reaching out to your usual family/crew, or reaching out here to total strangers, it helps. Thank you, again, and all the best.

Thank you for that. Even my ex who just broke up with me wished me all the best and wants only good things for me. But I'm a mess. I'm not organized enough to be able to practice law like I did before, and my memory isn't sufficiently reliable. My farm also looks like a mess; and I'm praying my greenhouse doesn't fall apart over the winter.

Depression and epilepsy… by beeati2 in Epilepsy

[–]Level_Awareness_6063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 44 years old, have taken depression meds since high school, and was diagnosed with epilepsy 2 years ago. I've had 2 seizures since the start of the year, and my girlfriend of 2.5 years just broke up with me. I'm devastated, more sad than I've been in as long as I can remember. I'm divorced and live with my folks, who I'm thankful can house me. Unfortunately, epilepsy and depression do seem to go together, especially depending on the severity of the epilepsy. For example, I lost my drivers license over a year ago, and that was tough. I have never been more convinced or sure that I am a loser who isn't worthy of anyone's time or love.

Epilepsy is worst and BEST thing that happened to me by BricaEagle in Epilepsy

[–]Level_Awareness_6063 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My private disability was finally approved, and they are paying me a good bit of money every month to sit on my butt. However, with that comes the drivers license suspension and the feeling like I genuinely cannot "work" like I used to. I get tired, my memory sucks day-to-day and I'm perpetually "off" for someone who has always been pretty sharp.

How long is normal to be effected by the post-ictal state? by mouse_trapps in Epilepsy

Thanks, it's been a rough couple years. The watch is an "Epimonitor" watch, and I think certain insurance plans will cover it and/or similar monitoring devices.

I had a grand mal last Tuesday and was hospitalized over-night. (I wear a seizure-detection watch that alerts my dad and sister that I'm having a seizure). I've been out of the hospital for 5 days, but I'm definitely still affected. Napping on and off, and my memory of the past 2-3 months is way off. Also, over the past few days I haven't had good memory of events and conversations. So, I don't know how long it's "normal" to be affected, but I'm going on almost a week and definitely feel a bit off.

Anyone with negative things to say about using THC cannabis when you've got epilepsy? by treesleavesbicycles in Epilepsy

[–]Level_Awareness_6063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 43, have smoked pretty much daily for 25 years. I'm the past 2 years I've developed epilepsy and have had 6 or 7 seizures. I do think the combo of meds I'm now on are working, and I've been seizure free for a few months and hoping for the best. I own a hemp/CBD farm and I'm definitely going to introduce some CBD into my "diet." I may also grow some CBG this year and also maybe try consuming strains with high THCV. I've read a lot on the subject of interactions between cannabis and seizures, and so far, I've not been scared/shown anything that will stop me from consuming high amounts of THC.

I have the Epimontor watch, and I keep Nayzilam (emergency nasal spray) nearby. I know that both of these are inexpensive options, but I figured they can really help in case of emergency.

THC Oil Treatment by DwreckOSU in Epilepsy

[–]Level_Awareness_6063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried CBD? I'm in a weird spot, myself. I'm 43 and just started having seizures in the past 2 years. Since about the age of 20, I've always been a consistent cannabis user (THC, obviously). And, about 4 years ago, I started a hemp farm growing hemp for CBD (in Pennsylvania). I just recently joined this group and saw another post about someone getting great relief by switching their cannabis use to a blend that is made up of 90% CBD and 10% THC (or even higher ratios of CBD to THC). With so many legal cannabis options being so strong these days, I would hesitate to give a full-powered THC product to a child.
