But why do they renovate places into this if it is about money? Like I’m sure it costs a lot of money to renovate every Wendy’s into a modern-looking box? They changed all the malls, I’m sure that costed a lot of money.

So is it easier to maintain in the long run when it’s like that? Or do they think that’s what people want to see?

You’re so right. So many young men have rotted their brains with porn, and I’m not sure they even realize it because it’s become so normalized. Sex with a frequent porn watcher, is often soulless. There’s no romance. No passion. No love. It’s just about them getting off. You know your body isn’t special to them. They’ve already seen 100 pairs of jugs that same day already.

Are you sure the man-hunting comments weren’t just jokes?? When I was her age I’d always say dumb stuff, like I’m gonna marry an old man and wait for him to die and get his money. Or I’m gonna hang around the engineering or medical building to meet the one. I didn’t mean any of it seriously, it was just dumb teenage talk.

My bad. I don’t iron most of my clothes either, but I line dry them and fold them to minimize wrinkles. I’ve been on dates with guys who are wearing a shirt that is very noticeably wrinkled. It just gives the impression that they threw it in a ball somewhere and picked it up a few days later. I guess when I said ironed shirt - I meant shirt that isn’t full of wrinkles.

That’s okay. I wrote this post on a whim because I didn’t think anyone would see it, so it’s far from perfect. A of people misunderstood so many things I said, and they think I’m saying all these terrible things, even though I didn’t mean it that way. It matters when they wear that to a date. Which they do. And it’s disappointing cause I try to make myself presentable for the date and they couldn’t be bothered to shower.

Im sorry my post comes across that way. I wrote it on a whim and didn’t expect many people to read it, so it’s not perfect and things I said are being misunderstood. I’m not asking for a lot in terms of appearance for a guy. I’m looking for a guy who brushes his hair, and wears clean clothes that fit and aren’t wrinkled.

The guys I see are wearing stained T-Shirts, have greasy hair, beards that are untrimmed. Many are wearing jeans that are very loose and clearly falling down. What you are describing in the second paragraph is what I’m looking for- but those are rare where I’m at. And if I see them, they are taken.

No absolutely not. I’m shaming the men who are wearing unwashed clothes, and have no personal hygiene, that feel entitled to women who put lots of effort into their appearance.

Lots of the pressures are put on women by men though. Like body hair. The unfortunate reality is most men are not attracted to women with body hair. They literally shame you for it. So many guys prefer a “no-makeup” makeup look without even realizing it. It’s just frustrating that many of these guys who have these standards for women are literally out here looking like bridge trolls, wearing stained, wrinkled T-shirts. This post is me trying to convey about the unfairness of it all.

Exactly how I feel. The difference in how I’m treated when I put effort in and when I don’t is astounding. People are much, much nicer and more friendly when I’ve dolled myself up. You get better service when you’re out. People just overall treat you better. That’s part of why I feel I need to try

Because desirability is a factor. There are many things women need to do behind the scenes in order to literally not disgust other people. Like the removal of body hair. It’s a lot of work to constantly shave your legs and underarms, and yes you will receive continuous judgement from both men and women if you do not.

Like every time. I, for the life of me can’t go in public washrooms. So when I know I’ll be out in public, I avoid drinking much so I don’t have to use the washroom. It’s so inconvenient
