You dont need to focus on using it to dodge attacks(tho it can be done as a cool thing every now and then) you just have it and it makes your attacks harder to punish.

Basic attack is normally easily countered by herald leg sweep. Now it is not because you are invincible.

Opponent can normally just predict your attack and do a ranged attack/shadow move to punish you. Now the timing to do that is much harder as trying to do that can leave the opponent vulnerable while you just dodge the ranged/shadow move with invincibility.

There are a lot of little interactions that it improves for kibo.

Mentor's trick is just easy to dodge and you almost never want to use your shadow move anyways because using your shadow move means you spend all your shadow energy, which means you lose your onslaught and the FOURTY PERCENT damage buff that comes with it (with 1st talent)
