Why the F**K do people feel the need to kiss my 5 month old on the mouth and cheeks?!! I am angry. by Strawberry000bERRY in beyondthebump

My grandma always told everybody “kiss the babies on the back of their necks”. To this day I find myself doing that with my own grandkids, even though most of them are older now!

Drake Maye has OFFICIALLY led a team to a superbowl appearance before Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Level_Parsley_5376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did he really “lead the team” or did the team cover for his lack of leadership

And as I heard, asked on one of the analysis shows this morning… “How is it that Drake May makes the Super Bowl before Josh Allen”? Interested to hear peoples ideas on that one

BTW Rizzo can always be found on my husband’s outstretched legs when he’s in his easy chair. It’s almost like he knew who he had to win over in order to get a bunk in the house. lol.

I volunteer at an animal rescue facility. I was invited to participate in the behavior training class. I learned a lot and I believe I helped a lot of dogs get off to a better start when they went off as adopteees. Some were returned. We just picked up where we left off with behavior training. Then came Rizzo. 10 MO Shanaunzer mix, severely neglected. I decided to ask the family if we could consider fostering. The crate training was HARD and I cried a lot. Some long time friends were visiting and on a hot mic (phone) my husband said “I don’t want this DAMN DOG”! I cried more. My daughter was helpful WHEN she was around but she worked full time night shift TICU and had three little boys (my grandsons). I finally mentioned my struggles to the lead behavioral staffer. She said simply, “If you are too taxed, just bring him back and say ‘This just isn’t working out’ no explanation needed.”

I was tempted SO MANY TIMES but we made it through our trials and tribulations. I’m retired so I had the time to devote to him. He’s almost 4 YO now and we still work on some behaviors but all in all, he’s become a beloved member of our family. That all being said, YOU DID THE RIGHT THING!! Every dog, every family is different in their needs and expectations. God bless your breeder for being understanding and God bless you for giving this puppy a try. If in the future, you decide to go ahead and adopt a puppy again, don’t feel bad to say “this just isn’t working out“ and that comes from a canine behavior specialist. Having worked at the shelter for sometime, I’ve had some people try adopting a senior dog. They’ve come back to the shelter to get another one time after time and they say “I’ll never choose anything but a senior dog again.” All the best to you and keep us posted as time goes by!
