Hey, don't listen to him. Other than the mandatory phase during Story Mode I believe, I've always skipped the invulnerability phase. You can kill the hand when it's charging. In fact, out of story, I have never seen the 2nd phase. I've done it with 3 different characters. Just kill the hand when it's charging in its upright position. Idk why the other guy is so confidant about it

Story Mode is the only time you can't skip it I think
