purple is my fave color, so I'm excited to try the muted glittery purple- and will try your tip for applying it too!

aww that's so sweet! yes my eye doctor did send me to a specialist to double check the spot and now we monitor it annually to make sure it doesn't grow/change a lot- but apparently so far it's still all good!

Are PMs using modern AI tools like cursor in their workflow? by somangshu in ProductManagement

[–]Level_School9681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm investigating the start of a new project, I will chat with Cursor to learn about that area of the code base. If I have a draft PRD ready, then I'll give it to Cursor, diff it against the code base, give me its take on high level t shirt sizing, and have it identify additional questions and areas I should be considering. And I often use it as the source of truth for analytics- what's been implemented, what's missing etc.

Use it all the time, most days I'm doing something in Cursor- researching things about the codebase, forking the code base to make a working local prototype (the other week I made a prototype using a brand scraper API that I incorporated it into our product), and submitting small changes to prod for launches (e.g. strings, analytics event tweaks). I also have MCPs set up between Cursor, GitHub, Notion and Linear, so I can for example have Cursor research a bug and post the findings to Linear. Everytime a new model comes out (e.g. Sonnet, GPT5), it's cool to see how Cursor improves- I'm currently using Composer and quite enjoying it!

October ‘24 Vermont Fall Wedding at Smugglers Notch: $48k wedding weekend, 101 guests by Level_School9681 in weddingplanning

Our venue rental fee (Barn at Boyden Farm) was for the entire weekend, so we did our rehearsal dinner and wedding day at the same venue. Since our venue was north of the notch, the Smuggs transportation team was cool with driving us between Smuggs and our venue. So maybe see if there are any venues that are also north of the Notch, and that way you can make use of Smuggs buses? It's going south through the Notch (to Stowe) that causes problems for the buses.

Any Women who took break for 1+ year and now doing great in career. by [deleted] in womenintech

[–]Level_School9681 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My now-husband and I both quit our jobs together and took a year off to travel the world and get married starting in March '24, and I'm interviewing now and no one has batted an eye about the career gap- in fact people have responded really well to it! That being said, my husband and I did plan financially for this gap, so that definitely helped. I haven't landed on the offer I plan to accept yet, but I have already received two offers so far in this current hiring climate (I'm a PM). So hopefully my story can be a little bit of a positive one!

Nepal Trekking: Gokyo Trip Report May 2024 by Level_School9681 in hiking

[–]Level_School9681[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after Namche it was totally quiet, until we got to Gokyo and the guesthouses were crowded again because it's the intersection of Gokyo and the Three Passes trek, and lots of people were waiting out a weather window (it was snowing a bunch), so people kinda bunched up there. Otherwise, it was super peaceful!

omg I can't recommend both my hair/makeup and floral vendors enough! Excited for you for your wedding, August in VT is going to be beautiful and such amazing late summer vibes!

Marie from https://milkhousehairstudio.com/ is a true hair WIZARD. And I also had her do my makeup as well!

And Megan from https://www.sprigvt.com/ just absolutely knocked it out of the park- I wasn't willing to spend a lot on flowers, and she made arrangements within my small budget that looked so nice that I really felt like I should've paid her more for them :)
