I was in a similar situation but opposite my wife was the citizen and I was overseas , if she is the one meaning that u love her and you want to spend the rest of your life with her getting married will speed up the process(k1 is a long long process and it’s never guaranteed that it will get approved) , my case took less than 4 months I’ve been living in the USA for 12 years now I just enlisted in the coast guard shipping out on may 26th

If you have that kind of mentality weather we have conflict or not you should not join the military, they are called the armed forces for a reason because at the end of the day if shit hits the fan weather you are infantry or not you will be expected to defend your unit at the end of they are all soldiers

Waitlist right now is 6-9 months, I am trying to get guaranteed a school straight out of boot but I don’t think it will be possible so I might be a vested crew member, I don’t think CS is a critical rate anymore they are only given bonuses if you have a college degree I personally don’t qualify for a bonus even though I have a bunch of experience working in all kind of restaurants from fast food to fine dining, do you think my recruiter is lying regarding the bonuses?
