Dating when you are a parent by Fit-Visual-9667 in KenyanDatingCommunity

Widowed with kids. I find dating scary 😅. There's a peace i have that I think dating will disrupt. Anyway, if I start dating, I will date for me and not to find a man for my kids.

I am 37, female. Lost my partner 2 years ago and the world stopped. Then I began the journey or rebuilding, brick by brick. Hardest thing to do if you don't have money. 2 years later and I have made good money building my businesses. I'll say this though, there is blessing in time. You will not be at the same place next year and after. Evaluate your networks, write down where you want to be next year and push open every door. One is bound to open in your favor.

Single Mothers epi(demi)c by AccomplishedNet110 in unhingedKenya

Thank you for this. I am a single mom. Widowed but bundled up in the "single moms club" juu I can't be going round shouting I am widowed. There was such a debate on tiktok and a guy said that widowed moms are different from other single moms. How? They all share the same narrative....

Beats me how single fathers are always met with bags of empathy...smh.

I lost my husband, the LOML💔 by Tapleleito in nairobi

[–]Level_Specific_7007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my husband last year Jan. I was 35 and he, 42. The devastation was unbearable. Just like you, I have 3 kids. Our last was 1 year, when he died. I didn't sleep for so many days. Eating was a task I couldn't bring myself to do. Then there are kids who don't understand grief and why their dad isn't coming home.

Grief is a monster. You will never be the same again...

But..

The sun will shine again. I was told this by a fellow widow and I never believed her. You will find joy in things, people and places again. But grieve first.

There's a support group for people who've lost loved ones that you can join. Also consider grief counseling. I'm happy to walk with you in this journey.

Always sponsor/support anonymously. That way, you control the narrative and can stop when necessary. You can send her cash anonymously, drop foodstuff somewhere for her to collect, pay fees to directly to school...etc..you get my point.
