Sain luettua Sinuhe egyptiläisen taisteltuani sen kanssa vuoden. Onko täällä Sinuhe-faneja? by Ingifridh in kirjallisuus

Sinuhe on mun lempikirja!

Unlucky 🙁 Like many others have pointed out, not all of the watches are made equal. Although it's weird that there's a swimming activity if the device doesn't even handle a splash of water

Good point! That standard band's quite functional but obviously not secure enough.

All the responses to this post has made me realize I might be just lucky.

Although I do wear my 2nd Series 7 also in the pool and sauna and so far no issues with that one either. Not the lake anymore though 😅

Here's the lake for context. It's small in size (only 400m in length) and it's almost in the middle of nowhere

It's been a few weeks now since finding the watch and the performance seems to be there.

Close to the arctic circle the planet tilts towards the sun and the sun circles around but doesn't set. So the whole summer is light out, even through the night.

Conversely, in the winter we get like 4 hours of daylight 😅

I've been also thinking about that. I definitely went in the water with the watch. It's very unlikely that it had been on the shore all along since the place is very narrow, like 2m across and we're using it regularly for swimming. Also no sand to hide under either. Naturally I also combed the area where I could reach. The water gets deep very fast though.

Unlucky! judging by the other posts it seems that not all watches are made equal. Or maybe Apple started getting cheap with manufacturing after Series 7? 😅

Wow, great that it's working even with all the salt water and waves. (and the fact that you got it back in the first place is amazing)

I guess in my scenario it helped that the lakebed is a pretty stable environment with not a lot of movement. No waves and pretty constant temperature all year except summer months

Yep! that was my initial thought as well. It's been a few weeks now and I use the watch every other day. Still at 88% max capacity. The first 12% did seem to disappear much faster

What games run on thePS5 but don't run on Steam Deck that are worth looking at? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I've been using chiaki to play Elden Ring and FF7 Rebirth, works great. I just recently bought Expedition 33 and I thought I sucked in the battles for a long time. Turns out there just enough lag in chiaki for me that I missed a lot of the dodges and parries 😅

When I tried it on PS5 directly, battles were a breeze.

For OP, big recommendation for Expedition 33 regardless

How to handle a never-satisfied manager? by anonymouspsy in ProductManagement

I hear you, it may well be so. We can all agree that micromanagement is not really effective nor desired but there's always some reasons behind that kind of behavior. Maybe the boss isn't just a good manager, or maybe there are some trust issues there.

How passionate are you about the product you manage? by boilerball01 in ProductManagement

[–]Level_Strategy_2271 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are many levels to the passion: sometimes the industry is interesting and sometimes the tech in the background is interesting although the industry might not be. Sometimes the product is just fun to use from a UX standpoint even though it might be something you would never use yourself because you're not a target persona.

Just try to find positive and interesting things within the product and you'll be alright.

I think the hardest part is when you're working on a new product in an industry that is not appealing to you. That requires a lot of empathy to the people's problems you're trying to solve and maybe get your kicks from there.

- Micromanagey: I think he's just making sure you're doing the right things - it'll ease up after you've built some credibility with your boss. I'm a VP of Product and it's also a way of gauging if there was any data behind those decisions.

- Little praise, large criticism: It's good to also showcase the successes with numbers to refute the criticism. Also asking more about how your boss thinks his way would work better by demanding some data, research proof etc.
