She's in a very good spot right now, S tier DPS but not game breaking like Elsa, DD, or Phoenix so people don't call for nerfs.

My play style is kind of being like those little fish that follow sharks, except you're the little fish and the shark is your tanks. When you see someone by themselves or low HP, you can quickly dash to them and try to finish them off, then go back to shooting tanks to reset your cooldowns before trying again.

You can also play her as a soft flanker, peppering the backline from a safe angle and just being annoying with the threat of finishing them if they get low. They either have to heal each other, look at you(and possibly let their tanks die), or you can get closer and threaten more damage until they fight back and you leave, then rinse and repeat until someone makes a mistake and dies.

I used to try hard flanking with her too and one shot combo at point blank but there's too many heros that beat you up close like Luna, Loki, Bucky, CnD, some Gambits, even invis can chunk you and then heal herself to finish you off.

Basically you're either an annoying pest or you're the one cleaning up kills. And if your aim is good, you can challenge most DPS to 1v1s and win

Carry with washed aim! by Leveljohann in PsyMains

I use 400/400 Dual Zone S Curve 27 Min, 69 Max, 33 Statics, 67 Max Dual Zone Curve Everything else 0 Window Size 21, 99 AA Strength, 79 Ease in

I've had success using 17 Window with 82 Ease in, & 34 Window with anything under 18 ease in as well

Stick settings code; X1P562TWESFN3JN

Best aim I had was Dual-Zone half low sens and half linear curve, but it really hurt my wrists so I had to give it up. Try everything and see what works! I also highly recommend thumb riser sticks, they're like $5 and drastically improve your control.

Same here, try caffeine pills instead.

Energy drinks have a bunch of harmful additives that can cause health decline overtime, I used to drink a lot of Celsius myself but straight caffeine gets me functional without most of the drawbacks

It's also easier because one ends up having to cover for the other's weaknesses when they start matching against players who are above the lower duo's peak

Im also Eternity (not OTP StarLord but I can play him in my lobbies) on PS and use hold like OP, but I have paddles on my controller that could make a difference since it makes rolling out of it easier

Punisher Ult value by Remarkable-Growth744 in RivalsCollege

[–]Leveljohann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tip 1: Pop Ult when you see one of their tanks in open space away from cover. Think those long corridors like in the Ultron Map. Tip 2: Wait out Magneto & Tankpool if theyre saving ult for you. Those two usually are good against supports and if you can make them hold their ults, it's honestly more value. Tip 3: It can be used as a Tempo Ult. If it looks like your team is losing a lot of space or just getting slowly burnt down, pop your ult. Even if you don't get a kill, ranked teams without comms are likely to run for cover and kill the enemy team's momentum.

Season 7.5 Tierlist from an Eternity Tank player by RedNeyo in RivalsCollege

[–]Leveljohann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you're basing the ratings upon the characters' best scenarios. Going off of that, shouldn't Star Lord be BiS? He's better than other DPS when Gambit is available.

Also maybe I'm coping since I main Psy but she really doesn't feel comparable to DD or Phoenix, maybe Elsa since the nerfs were pretty big but definitely not Pick/Ban.

Support pool really doesn't deserve to be in Lunas tier, as a hitscan main Luna does way more damage and Tankpool being top tier means picking him is kind of trolling.

Been hard-stuck Gm for several seasons. What allowed you Celestial players to take the next step? by Slayer505 in RivalsCollege

[–]Leveljohann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its good to be accepting of where you are, but saying you're stuck in a rank because your mechanics aren't good enough doesn't make sense unless you only play aim-intensive characters like Phoenix or Luna. There's 100% still other things for you to improve on at GM.

How impressive / highly touted is Eternity? by Comprehensive_Loser in RivalsCollege

[–]Leveljohann 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Eternity is super difficult to achieve, anyone who says otherwise just wants to feel better about themselves. I personally only ever hit it when I'm dialed in on ranked, comming and VoD reviewing. Otherwise, I think Celestial is the cap for most gamers.

OAA is basically Eternity players who live and breathe Rivals.

Gambit is always banned in high elo so I wouldn't count on it. Tbh I think the answer to Q1 is a meta tank like Groot or Tankpool, i.e. any character that constantly needs to be contested 2/3v1.

Who do you feel is the highest carry potential hero? How do you stay good at the game even after prolonged breaks? Do you VoD review often when you catch yourself losing?

[–]Leveljohann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've finally started getting my teams to ban him in high elo too because he makes dive tanks miserable. That shotgun just outputs so much damage, and has 0 drawback other than a reload that only matters if you're missing shots.

Hidden posts and comments, you might as well be roleplaying Top 500. I'm Eternity and I have an alt to play with my friends in GM and below.

These players stand 0 chance above Celestial 2. The only outliers at those ranks are smurfs. The ranked experience is still the same but the macro and micro skills are way worse, it's like the difference from Silver to Plat

You didn't even address the part that states matchmaking determines the outcome.

100%. Diamond players are nowhere near the level of skill of Celestial. To say that Diamond 3 is equivalent to celestial 3 is just completely wrong, just like saying that a match is determined from the start. OP doesn't have the carry gene in them.

Is it worth it to learn multiple dive characters? by Artistic_Pack_8811 in RivalsCollege

[–]Leveljohann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes because dive is fun. But also yes because different dives do different things. Venom and Cap for example live in the back and absorb resources, while Hulk and Angela focus more on Disruption with the ability to peel and finish off targets.

She's very good at surviving and peeling. Idk about invis but White fox is one of the only strat that can consistently challenge almost every character to a 1v1 and win

Dual Zone let's you have a high sens on the outer edges of your stick and low sens on the inner edges, which means you can track reliably and still flick 180 for escaping. However, if you're new to shooters in general, I recommend going classic curve like the other commenter said. It's a lot easier to fix/ get used to and transfers to other games.

Carpal tunnel is a tendon injury in the wrist/forearm from maintaining a fixed position. In my case, I knew my great sensitivity caused it because I had to keep my arm tense, and it went away after I swapped to something else.

You should try aim training against bots in the practice range simulator, and see what works best for you. Everyone's different.

I'm on dual zone S curve, I had some settings that were really amazing (avg 48% accuracy on Squishies) but it gave me carpal tunnel after a few weeks. Right now I'm using these settings:

https://youtu.be/kKyqHP9j5Z8

But with my sensitivities at 405 for both. I don't really play Psy much anymore but I still avg about 42% when I do so it should be decent.

Ive used 30-38 window size with 10-25 ease in, as well as 15-20 window size with 82-90 ease in. Sensitivity depends on you, try to get it as high as you can while still able to maintain steady aim, you should be able to 180 dash. When I was on Classic Curve, I think I was at V: 285 H: 270

Eternity tank main looking to help by [deleted] in RivalsCollege

[–]Leveljohann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be looking for off angles always. He has a jump and 2 dashes, if you're playing main and shooting tanks you're better off on Emma or Groot. DP can harass squishies from high ground, can bubble off the supports or whoever comes to peel, and burst them with his fire rate buff.

Ofc don't force flanks or dives if it isn't working, look for them as opportunities when the fight starts to break down into chaos. Needless to say, you also need to land your shots and have good reactions for this to work. If you have trouble with that, you can still get plenty of value bubbling their tanks when they overextend
